MSI is the better choice here because of price, even though they're both extremely solid PCs. Also, MSI has the Steelseries keyboard :)

That Asus is balls to the wall expensive ( for any non GCC users the asus is around 3200 dollars!), IMHO you should never spend over 1000 SR for a laptop in the first place.

970m (3GB) vs 980m (8GB)

i7-4720HQ vs i7-4860HQ

16GB RAM vs 32 GB RAM

128GB SSD vs 256 GB SSD

15.6'' vs 17.3''

Don't see how that's similar, even by a long shot

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

The MSI one is thinner, but nosier and hotter. The Asus one is thicker and heavier, but quiter and cooler. Pick your choice.

I am leaning towards Asus 751JT because of better cooling.

Too expensive for me too, even the GS :(

Depends what you personally want performance wise vs cost.

If you are thinking of overclocking then cooling is a primary concern.

If it's not bad enough that Skylake will be here in just a few months, Broadwell mobile quads look like they are coming out this month, Currently BDW quad performance unknown other than slight base increase and 47W TDP. Something else to consider maybe.

Decisions, decisions... :P

Slight base clock increase but lower turbo clocks, so in essence they would perform the same. Any laptop CPU not using its boost clocks is throttling in some form. May be thermal, may be current, may be power, may even be manufacturer-implemented (looking at you Lenovo and HP) but it IS considered throttling.

The real question is whether or not they are all TDP locked like their predecessors. If they are, then it's the same thing. If they're not, then that's improvement.

As for skylake... we have no idea how Skylake will work in mobile OR desktop form factors. Nobody bothers checking TDP on desktops when reviewing desktop chips because the power bricks are so large anyway, so we've no way to see

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

So i bought Asus g750jt. It's amazing. Its really good with temps. Never exceeding 70 no matter what. The thing i hate is the red keyboard and the material used around keyboard and palm rest. It's dust magnet.
