I personally feel that youtube and such is free right now, 5-15 seconds of my time is worth not having to pay them a fee.  Also most videos I watch are from content creators and I know they make money from that.  I refuse to hurt these guys in any way.

I use it, but have it turned off for YouTube and twitch to support the video producers I enjoy, and use the non-obtrusive option in Adblock plus, so the less annoying ones are not blocked on sites, so they can still generate revenue, but the large flashing ones, or the ones with sound are blocked.

I go to like 5 websites, most of which don't have ads.  The ones that do I've developed nice blinders for.

I don't use adblock, I don't see a need for it, the sites I visit with ads they aren't annoying so I don't care.

Maybe I don't youtube enough?

Ads are annoying... Why put Craigslist ads with half naked girls and basically just Porn on the side.. It's not a public computer but it's a family one so in I use it to block ads that kids shouldn't see

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I guess free isn't enough :(

I only ever see 15 second unskippable ads and 5 second skip ads.

Here's the thing. It's not just 15 seconds, it's 15 seconds multiple times a day.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos. I've done the calculation before, but I just did it again, just for you. If I watch YouTube videos at the same rate as I have in the past week, I'd rack up 24 hours of ad-watching time within a year. I don't know if you subscribe to the old adage "time is money", but if you do then you'll agree, that's not "free" for me.

I'll support them by word of mouth and hopefully that makes up for it, but I only get one lifetime and I'd rather not have nearly two days of my year (accounting for sleep) spent watching advertisements.

I use adblock because ads have become extremely annoying. I'm all for donating money to content creators when they need it but it is so annoying when you just want to watch a video then you get an advert about toothpaste. I have enough of that from watching TV on those rare occasions.
