You must be the champ on the forum for the weird variety of foods you have tried 

I don't really know if it makes me a champ.

I just love to travel, and I love to eat, so I just combined the two. 

When I stand on a street in Jakata and is offered boiled duck fetus, my first thought is not that it's gross. My only thought is.."If I don't eat it now, I might never have the chance to do so".

It has lead to some very good eating and some very bad eating. It has also lead to a couple of food poisonings.

I didn't know it'd essentially explode, normally it doesn't. I was going to cook it anyways.. Only reason why I was hunting it.

 

Rabbit meat is really good if cooked right, you should give it a try.

You said once you tried partially raw meat and the wife tried horse meat? I can understand the food poisoning then

I go hunting a lot.  Rabbit is one of the easiest kills.  If you are hunting all day and you get nothing, don't get upset, grab a shotgun and shoot a rabbit.  They are small enough to skin while sitting and cook right there on a fire.

Ohh, that's not even the strangest thing I have eaten, nor was it the one that gave me food poisoning.

I ate chicken sashime, which is basically raw chicken, while I was traveling in Japan. And my wife ate Basashi, which is horse meat sashimi.

Horse meat is not really bad to eat raw, since it's comparable to beef. Chicken however, needs to be marinaded in some way before you should eat it raw.

You risk ending up with salmonella if it isn't.

 

My wife isn't really has much into eating strange things as I am. 

Eating fermented cod sperm was way above what she wanted to try.

 

I once got food poisonings from eating day old chicken intestines in Thailand.

And no, I thought they were fresh.

It was a hollow point I think. Don't know WHY that was loaded, someone must've been an idiot and brought that.

If you use any shotgun except a 4/10 you will decentigrade the thing.  Same with high powered rounds.  I watching a guy snipe a rabbit with a .50 Cal and we couldn't find a piece of the rabbit big enough to eat.
