Was just thinking about this, there's plenty of mention about buying and hauling cargo but nothing about being able to have parts, weapons and items delivered to your hanger (in 1-2 days delivery :))

I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of Space UPS/FedEx since there are cargo ships (Freelance etc.) available. Since we have evidence that there are "Data Runners" in the Galaxy, I'm sure we'll have Cargo runners as well.

Yeah just haven't heard of anything yet, makes sense if there is a cargo job to have actual cargo to run unlike most cargo simulated in games it would be good to lose something in the post due to an actual pirate stealing cargo

You follow me that closely?  I didn't do 3 posts on that today so uh you must be stalking me if you know so much about my posting on Star Citizen going back to whenever.  Anyway about what I said I am allowed to believe it.  Scams do happen in this world and this may end up being a big video game scam in some form or fashion.

No its just I've never seen you say anything good on this forum so I have a little red flag every time I see that name, I tend to read every post in the SC area and I have a good memory.

There's a difference between scam artist and failure, for a start a good scam artist would know that 3 mil is a good time to run not 83 mil.

Not many people are actively posting in this subforum, so we are (at least, I am) aware who's posting what, mostly.

OT: I'm fairly convinced that it will be an activity you can branch into. Some orgs are already specialising in space-trucking, so I think you'll be able to hire some haulers to have your stuff delivered.

I wouldn't be surprised if you put up an assignment and a NPC offers to do it if it gets ignored for too long.. At least this is what will happen to system generated assignments when a player doesn't answer

normally i would say you are entitled to your opinion. at this point though they have put more work into the game and have too many studios and employees than it makes sense to have for a scam. they are too deep into it. plus if you know any thing about chris roberts, hes a completionist, this isnt his first rodeo

This isn't just a sub-forum, its a sub-community, the people who post here all know each other and when this is all you post you stand out like a sore thumb. Besides they have much more to gain from this not being a scam than if it was...

Back to the OP, that's the beauty of it being a sandbox it doesn't have to be "part of the game" to be part of the game :D

If anything, I think 'normal' cargo jobs will be mostly handled by AI. But time-sensitive, long-hauls, or VIPs will probably be on a sort of "Auction" that players will have to compete to get the contract.

I'm thinking as an org, we will most deffinately have an arm that handles cargo transportation. there may be a NPC system in place, but I can almost garrentee that a play run system will be faster, if not cheaper/more secure.

I get moving say a crate full of cargo but what about if you just need one item? A system just ran by players would be a nightmare.

I bet there will be something. I mean the Herald is a info runner so they may do a postal service variation for that.

I think it would be cool, it will have so much to the game that it would surprise me if they DIDN'T have one.

With possibly a little bit of illegal cargo in some of the ships. 

But we will CERTAINLY declare everything through customs. Unless you buy the gold package.  ;)

Ah, well, you kinda need someone to deliver it... Sure, it might be able to be done by paying the game and then it gets loaded onto someone else's ship as cargo, or something. 

Sure that it would be cool to run a private one though.

I plan on being a cargo runner when I get the game, but I'll be using the Cutlass Black, but I'll make sure to setup a subforum for shipping requests.
