New NZXT Teaser: Get Ready (Update: Noctis 450 Announced + Overview)

my prediction is that is a "gamer" oriented case, but, who's know? nice job NZXT for making me curious.

It actually be better if it were 3.1 since it would be able to carry 100 W of power  ;)

I think they made this case before 3.1 and didn't had time to implement it.

I was just kidding. It would be a better toaster with 3.1

H440 + Phantom = Noctis 450

Nothing really new under the sun, unfortunately.

Looks like crap and here I was thinking that NZXT was heading in the right direction after the S340. I guess I was wrong.

I'd like to sum up my thoughts an all NZXT cases thusly

drcox2.gif

They have the dubious honor of being the only mainstream manufacturer to never ever have produced a single case I like.

Even Thermaltake has a few.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I do like that the top panel does allow for fans on top of it with the cover on, which means that there will be the opportunity to use a thicker radiator than you could before. Everyone should think about this case this way: It's a phantom with the chassis of the H440. With its new looks, comes better airflow than the H440 and some people like the H440 but not its minimal styling and wanted something like this.

Meh, I think the h440 is still their absolute best case. Even after a year, I'll take a moment to stare at mine when I come home from work... It's just so beautiful!

So recently NZXT announced the Noctus 450 and imho, the only thread that has it mentioned in this subforum only has the announcement video and not any info on the case itself so I'm hear to give the details for those too lazy to actually look the thing up.

Link to the post on LTT: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/354241-new-nzxt-teaser-get-ready-update-noctis-450-announced/

So basically this case is just a more gamery version of the H440 and that's pretty much it. It looks like there is much more overall vent space so airflow should be damn good. It also looks like you can place fans under the top cover, which would allow for a thicker radiator to be used in the top of the case than the H440.

Here are the specs: (I jsut copy pasted them from the website so that's why they look funky)

I wanted more photos, but the NZXT site is down atm. The images are from gamers nexus and sweclockers. I'm sorry if I missed anything as I'm currently in writing this in History class.

I like that it has the layout of the H440 but I don't like the way the outside looks.

So just different panels and fan controller the back. I'm fine with my green h440. The airflow doesn't seem much better

I don't like it. Really bulky looking for the same space as an H440....
