14 day photo challenge

Momas
Go to solution Solved by Bsmith,

Hello, I would like to take the time to necro this dead topic with the fact that the unofficial LTT group on flickr just has launched it's FIRST photo challenge, based on this idea.

Feel free to join or look around, everyone is welcome afterall.

topic link: https://flic.kr/g/rFKAv

edit:

small question to @Blade of Grass could you maybe make my comment with the link for the flickr page/challenge best answer(or include the link to the page in your post), so that we it would be easier for us to continue it and if people stumble upon this some time in the future they can find their way to that pretty easy instead of accidental/forcefully necroing this

Entries for challenge green are now closed!

We have very many pictures to choose from this time around :)

Current challenge is: close ups (chosen by last challenge winner: @StormtrooperStu)

Post entries for this challenge until: June 8th

Sadly there was one picture that was disqualified, because it didn't follow the rules (light editing only):

http://i.imgur.com/VrAPr4v.jpg Merging multiple exposures into one is not light editing :)

Lenovo Y50 (i7-4710HQ, 1TB SSHD, 16GB RAM, 860m 4GB), Nikon D3300 (lenses: 18-55mm kit, Tokina 70-210mm vintage)

P.S. Sorry for my bad english :/

There's a lot of entrants this time round, and a lot of competition. I've a feeling it might be the tightest one yet.

Also, close ups is a decent next theme, I shall get to work on that this week :D

@Momas it might be easier for people to vote if all of the images are in one post (so they can easily browse through them).

I never actually knew the stock cooler was like this

I really need a macro lens, stops me from doing things like this as well as I'd like to do. At least phones are alright for it

Here we go then. This one was rather tricky for me to pick, so I'll show a couple that I liked and may use in other challenges, as well as the actual one I'm using.

uLoROfu.jpg

This one I'm going with for the challenge. I kinda wish I didn't have that stone there, but c'est la vie.

FUd17Hl.jpg
This one I liked for the colouration, but the focus was too narrow to be noticed IMO

yp5E229.jpg
Again, colour was great on this one, but the framing and bokeh wasn't to my liking

cCmL4nt.jpg
This one I really, really like, but I think it's too bland in colours to work (I tend to like saturated images, or strongly contrasting black and white images)

Does in camera HDR count?

I've used the HDR mode on my phone for some of my other shots, although not used any yet. I don't see why they can't be used, as you're not actually stitching them together yourself and you won't have as large a range most likely. I know that the HDR range on my Z3 isn't that large, so there's barely any difference between HDR and no HDR.
