What are we talking about here?  If we are talking about revenues, sales volume, or market share, then yes, it will happen quite easily.  The number of casuals will out-number the number of hardcore users any day.

To my good friends, I am God of computing. My friend's mom actually paid me 50 bucks to fix their loose cable, thrice. Many don't believe me when I told them I built a PC. I should never have mentioned the term 'hardware porn' among them. Some think I have no life and no future. To most adults, I am a spoilt brat.

There are only 5 mods and their workload is huge, ofcourse there will be some weird mod choices, give them a break guys :P

Because some random guy comes on, doesnt read anything, jumps straight to the comments and demands a merge. Most people are quite intelligent here but I think he might be the kind of person that we would add to this thread if you know what i mean.

You know what, I hate merging in general. Instead of that just lock copy threads and make people repost their thoughts in the original thread, Its better than having random nonsensical posts be scattered within another thread.

Me too. When I see someone says they're good at computers and so on, then I would spit out some stuff that I don't expect them to know. They would just go "Err.....never heard of it."

I often run into people like this; I normally ask them what RAID is or what the difference between SLI and XFire is to find out if they actually can say they know about computers.

I can ramble on about non-techies and poke fun, but I won't.

I do however want to deliver a message to non-techies out there who have techie/IT friends.

 

If you genuinely value your techie/IT friend, don't abuse your "please fix my comp for free" card. It's certainly not unlimited uses. The more you use it, the less likely chance your techie/IT friend will answer your calls.

True, In fact back when I had a cheap acer laptop I tried replacing the RAM to get better fps :P What I didn't know was that the RAM was a different speed than I needed, and I ended up getting LESS fps in the end XD waste of 30 bucks.

The extreme4 has D-pak MOSFETs. It is terrible if you want to overclock.

 

Mine held 5GHz with my 2500k perfectly fine with no issues.
