Friends,

Many of you around the world are off work today for a long weekend. We hope to make your vacation even better, because OxygenOS is finally here!

We know you’ve been patient, and we’re excited to announce that starting right now, you can download and flash OxygenOS right to your OnePlus One.

Be sure to check out oneplus.net/oxygenos for more information.

The OnePlus Forums are where everything started, and we couldn’t have gotten this far without you. Your suggestions and feedback have strongly influenced the direction of Oxygen, and we consider all of you a part of the team. This ROM was built just for you, and we can’t wait to hear what you think. We’ve made a feedback app available for download on OxygenOS, and we hope you’ll use it. Let’s make Oxygen even better, together.

Like their phones, this will only be available for download on Tuesdays and it will only let you download if you live in the US, because "CDN issues" prevent them from letting Canadians download it.

LOL thank you for the laugh

Also why the hell is the ROM 750 mb big?

Nicer file manager (visually) than CM's so that's something.

Pretty barebones tbh from this vid so not impressed it's taken them so long since Lollipop's release.

I was going to go flash my baby, but my dad said to wait a while until they worked out the bugs. Other than that, it's super cool.

OPO recently stopped shipping to Canada because they wanted to improve shipping. As well you can purchase a opo on tuesday however it gets back logged hard.

Yea, it's a fully certified by google ROM, dammit. They filled it with Google bloat.

Canadian users were getting smashed with customs fees, so Oneplus had to find a way to improve shipping while decreasing those fees.

They didn't start working in this tell late last year. However, cm12s has been worked on since release.

https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/upcoming-improvements-to-canadian-shipping-processes.267576/This link seems to work but when I post it it's weird

Try that, it should work I tested the link.

Looks like Lollipop with some CM thrown in. Nothing original apart from the file manager which I don't believe would have taken them ~5 months to make.

Of course, they could be saving some additional stuff for the people that actually download and install the ROM.

Hey, but they said they would resume after they discover a new way. Just not fast enough though.

It's meant to be as close to stock as possible with some community features. I don't think it's really meant to directly replace 12s. Just another choice for users.

I read that some of the guys from ParanoidAndroid worked on this so it would be cool to see if PIE controls come to OxygenOS.

750mb is so small. iOS firmwares are almost double the size.

Yet most ROMS are around 250-300 MB... It's that they included the full google package. All full of that google bloat crap.

Could be that and could also be the switch to the new art runtime.
