The main game of Pokemon Y was not that enjoyable IMO and it was not that hard too.

OR is way more enjoyable and with the DexNav and stuff, I want to shiny hunt too :D

Y is a bit special to me if only because I caught my second-ever shiny in that, a Goomy. The last one I caught before that was an Oddish, almost 10 years before that Goomy. Other than that it's just... eh.

So I went to a few flea markets yesterday and bought some stuff.

This includes some Pokemon cards, but also some games.

I never played the TCG. I got my enjoyment out of collecting the cards instead. I still have them all. If I hadn't written my name on every single one with a pen like a fool, maybe they would have been worth something.

I always put all my cards in huge binders, so they wouldn't get damaged :P No writing on the cards for me.

But Pokemon cards are not worth a whole lot, since there is so much of them out there and your cards are probably not 'mint condition'.

Would love to see what you have, the only Japanese thing I have is a Giratina pluche from Japan (bought it from someone, never been to Japan myself).

Do have some Japanese Pokemon cards, but those are not very rare (do have a really nice Japanese Charizard card, but it is waaaay damaged)

If that is actually yours, you should keep it in mint condition.

If yours is 1st edition too (see to the left of the card, in the middle) it might be worth quite a bit of money if it is like a 8-10/10 (PSA rating)

It is a first edition. And yes I am keeping it mint. I remember back in like 07 it was worth a few hundred not sure now.

Based on a quick glance, that's a PSA 9 or 10.

 

If it's a PSA 9, it's around £1200. If it's a PSA 10, it's more like £2000

 

I'd get that graded asap.

I used to collect, have a bag full of the old generation Pokemon cards. But then they got ruined so I quit out of sadness. :lol:

 

I still have a poo ton of them though. Been waiting to find a Bulbasaur evolution line, and a replacement for my Sabrina deck I got when I was a kid. I left them behind moving. :(

Yeah, Trolls and Toads (creditable Pokemon TCG value site) has it listed as 4,39 dollars if it is near mint (AKA: looks very very good). http://www.trollandtoad.com/p279467.html

That's it! That's the deck! I got one for a Christmas and it was the coolest thing I ever got because it was something I never asked for but wanted so bad. I beat my older brother with it (he had a Blaine deck). xD

Well I started collecting in gen 1 when I was about 3 years old. (born in '97 so not the exact start) 

But most of my cards are from flea markets. Even as I kid, I would rather get like 100 cards a day, rather than 1 packet with 10 cards.
