Need help with Windows migration from my hard drive to ssd

JackTheTurdious

Hey guys,

I got a new ssd recently that I wanted to use as a boot drive. And I was wondering how to do it, I know there are a lot of guides but I have a different problem. With the guides you migrate all your files from the hard drive to the ssd, but this isn't possible with me as I have a 1tb hard drive nearly full and a 120gb ssd. So I was wondering is there any way of just migrating windows to the ssd and not all my other junk that's on there?

Thank you

p.s I do have another 1 tb hard drive I was planning on installing aswell, so I was wondering should I just put all my stuff on my hard drive on there (other than windows) then just follow one of the guides

Post in troubleshooting or a hard drive forum. I have no idea.

PC SPECS: Athlon 860k, MSI 380 4GB, 8GB memory, 1TB HDD, Fractal Design Core 1000

Delete the files/uninstall other programs then clone the drive over but in reality you should just fresh install..

I did this recently.
Step 1: Make sure your files are backed up. I moved all of my games, documents and such to my external Hard Drive.

Step 2: Delete all unnecessary files, in order to make everything fit on the ssd. If everything will already fit, then deleting things makes things faster, but is not necessary.

Step 3: Follow this guide. I used the Macruim Reflect Free version. http://www.maximumpc.com/how_clone_hard_drive_or_ssd_2014

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
