CS:GO Internet affects sniping?

I usually use AWP in a match and sometimes I when the crosshair of the scope is on the target and I shoot but the target doesn't get any damage. I'm clearly sure I'm standing still when I'm shooting and the distance of the target isn't far that you have to adjust the timing. So, does bad internet causes the bullet to travel slowly or am I just a noob?

this could be down to a few problems such as internet, tick rate, csgo settings or the servers also type into the console net_graph 1 that will give you more information about whats all going on with tick rates, ping, loss and some other stuff

check your ping

 

if it's anything above ~120 its going to be difficult to kill with something as accurate as the AWP

Bad internet causes delay of or shoot. If you or opponent you are shooting at is lagging you will probably miss.

I cant hit a single fucking shot at or above 70ping.

Oh and my 60Hz monitor MADE ME SICK

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

Thats a combination of 64tick servers, high ping and often i experience different servers registering shots better than others, that may just be me though.

I actually had this problem yesterday.

 

Shot centre mass, no registered hit. The target was not moving neither was I and my connection was stable. A couple of seconds later another player (not target) shot and killed me. The target at this point still hadn't move, didn't notice I was there apparently. I actually shot a second time, but that was right when I was being fired upon, so I can chock that up to lag.

60hz isn't enough.

 

I'm a DMG with a 60Hz monitor :) 

 

Also I don't use a mouse pad

CS:GO (all Counterstrikes) uses Hitscan, there is no "aiming ahead" because the bullets are not physic objects i.e., no travel time or bullet drop.

 

Player hitboxes on the other hand can become out of sync with the player model due to latency and tick rate

could be a combination of any number of things

 

64 tick server

high ping (anything above 50)

bad net settings

problems related to your mouse (sensor, click latency, input pag, etc)

moving without realizing it

bad ingame setting

bad settings in general

60hz monitor

input lag caused by your monitor

 

the problem is probably just bad aim tho

Latency (high ping) can cause your shot to happen later on the server than it does on your screen, possibly resulting in no hit registration.

 

I think CS:GO has hitscan weapons, so there is no bullet travel being simulated. It's like laser tag: the damage happens where your crosshair is at the moment the trigger is pulled (or at least, when the server reckons the trigger was pulled).

sometimes it's just about ping battle. an average gamer have the same reation time soo u click he click it's now about the ping, if u got lower ping u won ! high ping ? u die ! if u taking CS GO seriously 60 FPS won't be enough, get 144hz and a great internet. below 20 if u can but max 50. if u play on valve server tick is kinda lose lose for u and ur opponent, i can only play on 60 fps and average 90 ping. hard for me to play, iam SEM now btw
