IPB4 is the next version of the forum software that we are using, which is being released fairly soon and which we are hopefully updating the forum to later this year.

What is IPB4? I dont know mucha bout websites and stuff but is it an upcoming software? Because most of the suggestions in the suggestions thread have an answer of "It will be possible once we update to IPB4".

 

So what is IPB4? What are we using right now? When will it come out? When will it be added to the website?

I believe we are on version 3 now and it is some sort of forum software.

it helps with server side stuff I think (like forum accounts and such) and with the layout and works of the website.

Let me just tag someone who probably knows a lot more:

This is bar far the nicest forum I have ever used. IPB is great. I personally like it a lot more than something like vBulletin. It feels so clean and smooth, intuitive and responsive, and has so many features that other boards do not.

It's decent. Better than quite a few forums and I have seen it a bit.
