Adding second GTX 670 FTW SLI, 650W PSU enough?

So like the title says I'm hoping to avoid having to swap out my PSU just yet, will the corsair TX 650w V2 be enough to handle my current setup (sig) plus another GTX 670 FTW?

670 = 195w (x2)

Rest of parts = 75w

So that is 670w total, so i wont think so, sorry.

A 670 doesn't consume that much, it's closer to 100-150w each. He'll be fine with that PSU.

You'll be using a bit over 500w in total, so you're fine. You'll need to change it for your next upgrade though (probably).

GPU's installed and so far so good. Had trouble fitting the Xonar DSX in there under the second GTX 670 but all is well. Unfortunately the Cable Management on the video cards will suffer until I can replace that 650W

Careful. The second video 670 may suffocate with the DSX under it.

Its just shy of the fan, everything else is card housing, plus under furmark burn test it runs cooler than the top card. by a few degrees.

What makes you say that? I have a Corsair 750W HX750 (fully modular) that has worked well for me btw.

Your scenario is not valid. You're running a higher wattage PSU than him.

since putting the second card in the system has become increasingly unstable. This is similar to what happend when I was running a 420W temporarily when I had the single GTX 670 and a 3570K. But the upgrade from 3570K-3770K and the overclock and the second GTX 670 FTW seem to have pushed the 650 over the edge. EIther that or the problem is related to something else.

I would have said this was related possibly to the Windows 8.1 Preview but I was running that with no issues prior to installing the second Card. These stability issues and crashes are from the day I put the new card in and lIke i mentioned before, are very similar to problems I had when I was running a low watt PSU Before (and were fixed by the upgrade to the 650W) just sucks I didn't think to go higher in the first place. I just wasn't planning on getting a second GTX 670, but one came around a a price I couldn't resist :P.
