What? In the future he can still get a locked i7 and it would still work on an h81 motherboard. Also a 280 is much much more future proof than a 750. It has 2gb more vram and performs much faster.

What the hell are you saying? Your build is unbalanced because you sacrificed GPU horsepower for more storage and a better motherboard. In a gaming build most of the budget should go towards the GPU. In your build he is more prone to upgrade his graphics card because its underpowered. Also a locked i7/xeon > unlocked i5.

That's better, but we still haven't heard back from the OP on whether he is planing to overlock or not.

And? An r9 280 is going to be much better than either an r7 260x or gtx 750 in gaming. With your build he would be wasting more money because if he wanted to upgrade his gpu he would also have to upgrade his power supply. You cheaped out on things which you shouldn't cheap out on (gpu and psu).

Irony? The msi h81 p33 is a good board which can run any haswell processor without any problems. Also I mean seriously you are justifying purchasing a more expensive build with a 260x over a cheaper build containing a 280? Stop being so thick.
