[TomsHardware] Best Gaming PCs for 2015 - Are you ready to laugh and cry?

MEC-777

Always enjoy posting this each year. I never understood their mentality behind posting these and even recommending these... Anyways, here's the link: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-gaming-pc,review-2219.html#xtor=EPR-8886

What really boggles my mind is the "best overall gaming PC" is actually the one with the best price to performance ratio that isn't completely outrageous which comes with a 4790K & GTX 980 and yet the "best gaming PC for the money" costs MORE than the overall PC but only has a GTX 760!? That just makes no sense.

Also grinds my gears that not one of these lists an SSD included with the prices presented. It's 2015! Get with the times!!!

Anyways, take a gander. Poke fun. Laugh/cry. Or like me; sit and shake your head in complete dis-belief...

MEC.

I know right! Toms has done some really good articles full of great, useful and practical information/testing, but then they post this every year. Must be nothing other than sponsor-catering. In the comments pretty much everyone rips into them about it, so it's not like they don't know it doesn't sit well among the community.

I agree yuk they flash all the cool specs then fill the thing with garbage parts

oooo a i7 4790k with a gtx 980

( what there not telling you is there is when you click on it you are actually getting an i5 with and a 960)

then they through in an aftermarket heat sink " the cheapest one they could find" on to an H97 pointless garbage

by time someone build out a pre built with normal parts that pc builders use all the time the price is over 3k for something that a builder pays $1500 for

its good that they have pre builts, not everyone is a  nerd at computers.

Dont hate, Peace

No hate. :)

When you buy one of these pre-built PCs, you're throwing money away and spending WAY more than you need to. The price to performance with pre-builts is horrible.

You don't have to be a nerd to build a PC. It's actually very easy and there are lot's of people on forums like this willing to help you learn. ;)

Even a child can build a PC.

yes i am aware of that, but many people just want to have a good pc and dont care for specs.

Just to clarify i do not have a prebuilt. It just seems that the only way to get a pc is by building one. wich i think is wrong.

*shrug* If I had to buy a prebuild it would be from caseking. Still overpriced but they give away reasonable hardware.
