Would like to see how it performs has a workstation card. 3072 CUDA cores and 12GB of VRAM makes me wonder how much of a beast it is

Yes i cant wait for the new Titan lineup.

Hoping for an area comeback.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

- WCCFTECH

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Titan 2 should be alittle slower than 970 Sli. Only problem is that you could go quad 970 SLI for the price of a single Titan 2

Since a 980Ti is likely to come, which is basically a Titan II without the DPFP and slightly less VRAM, the Titan II should be $1000, not $1400

Rumor mill says 12GB VRAM and the same 384bit bus.

3072 CUDA cores.

All speculation of course.

new tech is always exciting. as for buying a tier of card that usually borderlines in price between workstation and eccentric (a step above enthusiast and two steps below "selling my left kidney for")... count me out.

Exactly what Briggys said, new tech is great and pushing boundaries is fantastic. But it's far out of reach for me to even consider a plausible card.

980 to, r9 390x or r9 395x2 will be the things getting my juices flowing!!

Yup but the only difference is that the 780ti had 3gb of VRAM which has already been out dated if you run 4k.

Had Nvidia allowed 6gb units? people would not be spunking their money on 980s just for 1gb more VRAM.

Just trust me on this; I got the last laugh. Two 780tis were £800 or more when I bought my Titan Blacks and the Kingpins were £1000. I paid £1398 for my two Titan Blacks and that has bought me a ticket to sit back with my fingers looped behind my head and laugh at how shit the memory bandwidth and sum is on the 980.

The same goes for the original Titan. A friend of mine has been running three since launch and he's got to sit back and laugh at the 780, 780ti, 970 and 980.

Nvidia are not stupid, they release cards with just enough VRAM on them to last until their next release, where they fully expect you to dump your cards for next to nothing second hand and adopt their new cards.

For any one wondering when the 980ti will launch? that's easy. Just long enough after Titan X, or Titan 2 when they know sales have stopped. Then they will grace you with the next second tier high end card.

And that all depends on what AMD have to offer in a couple of months time.

Area 51 2014. Intel 5820k@ 4.4ghz. MSI X99.16gb Quad channel ram. AMD Fury X.Asus RAIDR.OCZ ARC 480gb SSD. Velociraptor 600gb. 2tb WD.

Exactly what Briggys said, new tech is great and pushing boundaries is fantastic. But it's far out of reach for me to even consider a plausible card.

Many people involved in PC tech are what I refer to as the serial upgrader. IE - they buy something mid range, then replace it with the next mid range item. Many people went from Sandy CPUs to Ivy then to Haswell and the most daft even went from Haswell to DC. Had they bought a X79 hex core? they could have avoided it.

It's all about patience. If you save up and buy the right gear that sounds horrifically expensive you will get the last laugh in the long run. Two Titan Blacks cost me £1398 as I mentioned before. Let's do some maths...

Two 780ti 3gb would have cost me £800-£900 depending on model and cooler. Two 980s will cost me (one sec let me check OCUK) basically another £800 so that's £1600 and still stuck on 4gb vram which is still not the 8gb, nor the 384 bit memory bandwidth of the Titan Black. Titan Black = 6gb 384 bit 336gbps memory. 980 = 256 bit 224gbps memory.

It will take Titan X, or, Titan 2 to truly topple that.

I see what you mean, and I do agree (especially with your cpu analogy), when looking for bleeding edge solutions it makes sense.

The Titans are some real powerhouses, as you said.

But so far as single card solution (which is what I had in mind with my comment) I think that one of the the "Normal" flagship cards (if you get me) are better.

Also, wow nice rig! Thanks of the response too!
