Do you have OCD? How bad is it?

Over the years my attention to little things that don't matter at all has grown substantially. Anybody else experience this? It is at the point where the angles on my monitors have to measured by a protractor and must be equal, make me even happier if it was an even number. Lol.

Eh, I guess I don't really have it seeing nothing is really symmetrical on my desk and well aligned. :/

Also, at least you'll end up with a well cable managed computers. :D

I have OCD but it's not so bad, it only bothers me at work, we have so many people in the studio that I have to move so much stuff around before I start my shift

I check that I locked the door like 5 times before I leave the house, and I always check that the shower is not running a billion times before I leave the house. Oh, and don't get me started on tests. If I finish a test in 20 minutes, I'll spend the remaining 35 minutes checking it.

 

So in general, pretty bad. However, it's gotten better and that seems to be the only OCD symptom I have now a days

I keep everything as sorted as possible in minecraft, building symmetrical structures, and nothing just random (i cant random)

 

Also stuff needs to be in its place irl, and anything useless (such as old files on my computer or garbage) needs to be removed.

i should take a pic of my desk and attack it... But it would cause all of you all different kinds of illness and mental pain.

 

On the other hand, i always clean my knifes (profesional set - i love cooking) in such a manner that there are no water marks left after they dry, but I guess thats more caring than an OCD.

I have it really bad, when someone leaves my door open even just a little bit, I have to close it or it will drive me insane

I have 0% interest in cable management (my build is an airflow nightmare), but I absolutely cannot go to sleep if my room is messy; even at midnight I'll put stuff away before going to bed.

I think you'd die if you saw the under side of my PSU shroud in my S340... Lets just say cables are literally holding the HDDs in place since the PSUs cables are so oversized.

Not at all, I was eating a box of Chip's Ahoy last week, it still looks like cookie monster beat off on my desk. My version of "cable management" is to bend cables away from fans and smack multicolored fan grills on case fans.

I don't know exactly what OCD is, but I do have a need for things that I do to be up to an incredibly high standard, otherwise it causes me so much stress that I cannot focus anymore. Which is why I give up on everything I try.

:P Not much I could do about it anyway, the cables are all about 2-3x longer than necessary... I just need to get around to clumping the cables heading to everything up still...

It's ok, nobody else does either.

 

That's the glory of it. We can devalue it and everyone can pretend they have OCD too because they like their socks to match.

 

In other news I have now have depression because I finished the cookies.
