Because we're not brand loyal tools. I use a Corsair keyboard, but hate their mice. I use a logitech mouse but dislike their keyboards, mainly quality reasons. And ugly

We buy products for the quality, not the brand.

I liked the concept of the green switches bieng lighter blues, but it doesn't work out obv.

This is one gif for a long review ranting about a lot of other things

show me a cherry switch, that doesn't do the same thing. mechanically the kailh and cherry switches use pretty much the same design.

Lol  funny you said that because I recorded a cherry red switch not doing that., Think of corsairs design with the floating keys. Not fond of it honestly, but would they be able to pull that off with that much flex?

I also recorded how one shift key sounded fine and the other sounded completely different. Linear almost

I will update the review with a flex test of a keyboard with MX  blues once I get one of my own soon.

Hmm, when I get home, I'll have to try this on my Razer BlackWidow Chroma. I really don't remember seeing anything like this, though.

I didn't notice when typing initially, but when I started typing harder like I normally do, I noticed the give. I worried about breaking it if I struck a key to the side

are those green or orange switches?

Green

I have not tried the oranges yet. Didn't think they would be for me, not a fan of browns that much, too soft for my liking and I didn't think a softer version would suit me well. I'm leaning toward adding a MX clear keyboard to my collection. Like the code from WASD or something.

That...doesn't look bad at all. And the up/down flex is not what I'm testing.

Get a different angle showing it better maybe?

Wiggle it a bit?

I must add, and to be fair, I'm putting heavy force on that key. I'm not just pressing it.

Thing is, I type so hard that one flat metal keyboards like the mac ones I make my fingertips purple. No way this keyboard would survive that unless it was one of the old models with better switches.

yeah .. I know ... should have turned that phone ...

You are not putting near the same force on that key that I did, don't make me laugh.

I was pressing it really hard, swiping.

It is also a different switch using different plastic for the RGB ones, an di was believing that was the case that it weas stronger until you made that video

I'm also curios if the RGB ones have keycaps like this

04m2clp.jpg

I'm sure those couple of drops of plastic saved them a ton lol

Of course, it really has more to do with the type of plastic used (See Logitech G110+ for broken keycaps), but come on! You couldn't fill in just a bit more plastic?

How fucking cheap are you?

Now this flex issue is mostly not caused by the keycaps but the switches, as I tired this with switches form different keyboards, and the flex was still there. The thing is, the keycaps do flex slightly because of the cheap stems, meaning they retain the bend a bit, and bend very slightly on other keyboards while other keycaps don't. But it's 90% the switch. I pressed up against the switch without the keycap and it was noticeably weak.

not much pressure? Lol I hammered those keys for you.

I bend them to the side for you. WHO would do that when typing? Do you type sideways?

Shall I do another video and show you the marks the keys left on my fingers?

It is a Blackwidow Ultimate, not the chroma/rgb one ;)

It's blue

Isn't that an old one then if it's not RGB?

It sound like a steal one. I'm confused.

And even then it showed way too much flex. Not near as much as I'm showing, but still more than other keyboards.

as If you did. I just recorded a video with my k70 that made my finger hurt. Uploading.

This has nothing to do with corsair, and most to do with real switches, as that's the supporting part.

Here's the video, it'll show when it's done processing.

Gave no fucks if I broke it.

As you can see I was able to get  a small amount of flex out of it, but I almost made my finger purple. All I did on that razer one was press down and rock it.

it wiggles more when it is extended though, because it has more leverage. And you can see how hard I pushed it from the side, which moved my keyboard a little.

@MrSuperb

What say you about my two videos

You can't honestly think I'm making this up?

Edit I just saw your second video

You slammed it, but no wiggle.

Are those the oranges? I might be interested in trying it

I still don't know how ytou have a blue one. Is it some special edition? Like a classic or something?

no it doesn't. in the upright position the rectangle is in a tighter guidance.

I tried for the last 5 minutes to reproduce your video. I just can't.

It is the classic version with blue backlight yes. Non stealth -> green ("blue") switches

Fits better to the blue light of the M1 and the Logitech G602.
