AMD A10-5800k running at very high temps!?! *NEED HELP*

luckily theres never a real big load its normally just minecraft and other small games and web browsing. But i wanna get this heat sorted out because i convinced my dad to buy a graphics card

You could try taking off the cooler, reapplying thermal paste and trying again.

Yup try to reseat the heatsink with new thermal paste. Place a small dot/rice-sized ine of thermal compound in the middle.

The maximum temperature the CPU can hit is around 60 degrees before it begins to throttle and/or shut down the PC completely. If have experienced no throttling or shutting down then i'd say you're more than safe.

 

EDIT: Check CPU-Z and see if the CPU frequency doesn't stay where it should be staying.

Why 60 degrees? My i5 2400 can get up to 70 degrees and it still maintains 3.2GHz. I'm pretty sure 80+ degrees is where it throttles.

because an AMD APU isn't an i5. Thats why.

hummmmm strange could be the thing that mesures the temp??? do's it feel hot when you put your hand on the inside of the case

Itz back! it is still hot and I think the heat damaged the CPU quite a bit. Now its terribly slow.

BIOS. BIOS is always correct. 

yeah i agree as HW monitor shows 23 C while my bios shows 44 C

 

so  i trust bios as my room temperature is above 30 C

 

so i trust aida64 for measuring temperatures

Idle is 40-50ºC
