Gaming laptop.

As much as I dislike laptops, I'd probably take the gaming laptop.

OMG SAME.

Get a non-gaming laptop.

If you get the new XPS 13 2015 I will be so jealous.

You always have a PC to game on when you're at home. And you have a phone already, right?

iPad, I am no Apple fanboy at all. Or a "simple" laptop. I have a Thinkpad which is great for productivity, really nice to work on for University and if I really want to it is able to play "Portal 2" or "Orcs must die" or "XCOM" or....well some lower-end games.

And it only costs 600 bucks.

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @4.2HGhz 1.25V || Noctua NH-U12S SE2 || 16GB (2×8GB) Aegis 3000Mhz CL16 @3200Mhz ||
|| Sapphire Pulse RX 6700 10G || MSI B450i Gaming PLUS MAX Wifi
  || Kingston NV1 2TB m.2 ||  Corsair SF600 || Intertech IM 1 |||

Seeing as though you already have a gaming rig, i'd say go for the ipad.

It would seem your one who enjoys content such as linus', and for, me an ipad is one of the most enjoyable platforms for that sort of content. Enjoy regardless:)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

Laptop. Whether it's a gaming one or even non-gaming. Intel HD 4400 can handle AAA titles at 720p low, while older titles and things like CS:GO can still be cranked up and run smoothly.

I've tried good tablet + good phone just for carrying back and forth to school and it didn't make me as happy as the good non-gaming laptop + okay phone setup that I have now.
