Acrylic side-panels with fan mounts. Seriously, they look shite. Although that is as much a frustration with case manufacturers as it is with PC builds.

Bad cable management.

 

Or, when they do good cable management, but they have ONE SINGLE WIRE that's not done well, it just ruins it.

This isn't really a pet peeve, but I find it kind of annoying when people boast about how "custom" their rig is, and they have the same Intel CPU, Asus mobo, EVGA GPU, Corsair RAM/CPU cooler/PSU/case that everyone else has, especially if they've done nothing else to make it look special at all.

 

There's nothing wrong with those specs, but the main thing that annoys me is if they brag about it like they did something crazy and special.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Nothing really. If I HAD to pick one thing I would be how people chose to do color schemes. There are just too many easy to aquire color schemes. Not many people paint thier parts custom colors.

Too much blue, red and green.

i totally agree with this, they look rubbish and when you can buy something like this for £16 there is no excuse.

When people get mad at a stock cooler a d say it's only 30 bucks. That pisses me off. Especially when you have to pay for many things yourself and aren't from money. If it works it works.

Irritates the piss out of me when people decide to bust out the spray paint on components that should not be painted! And if you do spray paint, for God's sake, at least make sure it matches your color scheme!

I couldn't agree more, my stock cooler is fine at the moment though I do want to get a Corsair H80i at some point but right now I have no money lol

I used to have that cooler in my second pc build, its actually quite good

i've got one on my Phenom ii 1045 6 core running at 3.4ghz, so yeah, there a bargain lol

People who say they got it for minecraft or brag about the fps they get in minecraft.

 

Bad cable management/sleeving.

 

An intel stock cooler, but have A. a bunch of led fans or B. have quiet oriented fans in the case.

 

People who spend like $1500+ who have no ssd or a 500gb hdd and a 64gb/128gb ssd.

 

People who didn't get help from a forum and make bad decisions like an fx-4170 and a 7970(true story).

mine has to be getting huge cases and not filling it up

This is me right now. I want to fill up my full tower, just don't have the money to right now. I'm thinking about getting the Corsair Obsidian 350D. I loke the look, plus it is small, but still has plent of room for amazing builds

I think my biggest pet peeve would be overly bright case lights, whether they come from fans, cathodes, or LED strips.

I hate it when people say "my OCD can't handle that cable route or blah blah..." Be happy for me negative nancy... And why do so many people have OCD and why do they have to tell me about it?
