Share your PC info via Speccy [Advanced System Info]

Speccy is an awesome program made by the same dudes that made CCleaner. It spits out every single detail of your machine (Excluding sensitive info), and an awesome tool I love to use.

You can also upload a "spreadsheet" of your PC to their servers (it's like a formatted pastebin), and share them with the world; so lets make a speccy thread!

1) Get Speccy [ http://www.piriform.com/speccy ] (It's free, the pro version does NOTHING special)

2) Run it, and after it's done collecting all of your rigs data, go to File -> "Publish Snapshot"

3) Done! Share the link with us and we will see what you guys are running :)

Here is my rig:

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/PUBtAWfJChPXS42NJadGgxd

The ram settings are a bit off in the bios, but I'm too lazy to fix it. (They run at 1600)

Note: I suggest using bit.ly or tinyurl since the link is long!

Post your speccy results below! Its nice to see what you guys have, and for you to see what I ( and others ) have so we can help each other!

Nice, I want to upgrade to intel soon. Buying the processor is no problem, just the motherboard is minimum 200$ for the damn socket :(

why the heck would we want to know all that useless stuff???

The begging (Summary) just tells us your computers specs, the rest is all extremely specific details (that are not sensitive, and are OK to share)

To you they're useless, to others they're not.

It's awesome to see what your computers doing at any given moment.

Here bud, but I'm also going to post the normal summary as well:

Nice; the summary is in the link (first part).

How much did you spend on your mobo?

Edit: What's up with all the windows 8 users :o The only time I tolerate windows 8 is on my 2-in-1 laptop (touchscreen), other than that I feel like it's a huge piece of bloatware. W7 Ultimate FTW!

You install all these programs JUST to make it look like windows 7 on a desktop. Windows 10 looks promising though :)

Like $180 I think, and by summary I mean the tab that says summary, because that's what the picture is of.

Not at all, a decent Z97 can be had for around $130.

So I can get a new 6 core high end unlocked intel processor in a 130$ mobo? I only buy parts on newegg [premier + I trust them]. Also I got a liquid cooler on my current CPU (5-7c passive), and it's an AMD fx 4300 running at 4.3 ghz -- I want a 6 core i7 that i can OC safely to at least 4ghz.

6 cores + hyper threading = awesome for recording/streaming :)

Also question I've had for a while!

When recording games via fraps (dxtory, or your favorite application), do you save the recorded footage to an SSD or your storage HDD? With fraps recording RAW and having huge file-sizes I don't want to fry my SSD. So where do you save your recordings to?

And what is your favorite recording Program + Codec (If you don't record in RAW to save time), also what is your favorite export codec :P

Recording games is such a hassle nowadays, and I only have a quad core CPU -- I can play all AAA games max 1080P 60+ FPS, but since they use all 4 cores, recording's a bitch (hence why I want to get a intel CPU)

Question 2: Do recording programs + OBS (streaming program) support multithreading?

You'll need an x99 board for the 6 core intel chips, and they start at like $200 I think.   If all you want to do is record+ make videos + livestream, a 4790k will be fine with a $120~ motherboard.  And yes most of the streaming programs will support all the cores/threads.

Actually, there are some nice Z97 boards for less than 100 bucks. MSI has some I think. But they don't feature SLI, obviuosly for price reasons.

I've seen you post around ( Remember you by your avatar, I have 7 cacti buddies and love them all, wait your icon is an apple, o well close! both happy fruit [or plants] )

No such thing as a bad PC I say! If it does what you need it to do, everything else is a waste of $$$. The day I installed linux mint on my grandmothers PC was the day I had to stop formatting windows every 2 weeks from the porn my grandpa watched.

Tip; If your grandparents only use a web browser, install a windows-like linux distro; it still has a web browser and you don't have to maintain it!

You never said X99 lol you just said Intel. But with recording and streaming, an i7 4790K is still more then enough.

1. Why not use Shadowplay?

2. Shadowplay, H.264

3. Cause each core is individually weaker. They aren't even real cores, the FX4 should be taken as a dual core with HT.

4. Yes, they support as many cores/threads as you can throw at them.

I've had this question for AGES. Some info:

My case:

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001961

My Mobo:

www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/

The specs on my Mobo's size say:

M-ATX Form Factor

12 inch x 9 inch ( 30.5 cm x 22.9 cm )

And when I google the size of an ATX mobo I get "A full size ATX board is 12" wide by 9.6" deep (305mm x 244mm)...."

So i wonder, do I have an MATX mobo, or are they just derping -- and can I fit an ATX mobo inside (I fit a gigabyte gtx g1 970 windforce in just fine and it's the longest card i've seen to date)

It does everything but game. My GPU is holding me back.

lol, i know fuckface.

I'm sure you can game "OK" with 2 cores, but most games are made for 4 cores. Yes a good GFX card will make things awesome-sauce, but those 2 teensie cores are important -- very important, everything beyond 4 is for

It's a Q6600, it has 4 cores, not 2.

Derp. I read "intel core 2" and figured it was a core 2 duo (dual core).

Hopefully people answer my mobo question (last post, page 1)

Also interesting seeing all of your guys PC's!

worst 1155 mobo on the planet

I was going to buy a sandybridge CPU ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116492&cm_re=intel_i7-_-19-116-492-_-Product ), but the mobos where atleast 250. That's the price of a 1080p asus monitor, or another 840 pro, or something "useful"! Did you really pay 1155$, over 1k for a mobo?

Also let me repost my question :)

edit: Do you guys like the app?

edit #2: I realized it's a type of mobo "1155", not that you spent 1k on a mobo LOL.

A 1k mobo better support 8 way SLI/Crossfire, 4 CPU sockets, and be the size of a kit-kat bar.

Ohh another core 2 quad, must be popular.

Also what is this GT 650? Is that before or the same as GTX?

What? It's a GT630. And I would be running a Sempron 145 if @MeepLikesToBuildPc's's didn't send me this.
