Locked out of my BIOS! Please help

Go to solution Solved by extremescouter,

Maybe press the CMOS reset button? It should reset any of the settings that you put on the motherboard that may have caused it to not allow you to go into the BIOS. It will also reset any of your settings that you have inputed/overclocks/anything like that, so just be aware that you will have to change settings. I would suggest continuing to try other things, and if nothing works go to that solution.

I have a FX-8150 @ 4.5

with a 970A-UD3 motherboard.

I seam to be locked out of my bios for some reason. every time i boot my PC mashing the "Del" key does nothing.

this may me a idiotic question. but can anyone help me?

Try F2, F4, F8, and F10. Any of those are buttons I've seen let you into the BIOS.

Another option: Remove all Storage drives (SSD & HDD). Then try.

The key to enter BIOS for Gigabyte boards is the delete key, so the other ones won't work.

You have to make sure you press it right after your computer POSTs

Don't wait for it to post. Mash your F and Del keys.

Reset the BIOS. Remove the CMOS battery for 10 seconds, and try again.

my Mobo does not have a CMOS reset button, just a battery.  my new Haswell is on its way soon.

Some keyboards have issues with some bios's, I think the K70 has a switch at the back to help solve that issue.

My room mate has a cm storm keyboard and he said that he cannot use the bios when the keyboard is in "N" mode or something like that.

Is it the CM Storm Trigger?
