Yep. They're expensive because you only need them if you are doing massive transfers. That could be scientific computing, large database applications (think banks and financial firms), etc.

 

You could use this as a datastore for virtual machines, they would do very well on it.

Yes my Canadian friend holds dual German/Canadian Citizenship, and currently lives in Germany. She's eligible for the various free post secondary programs, and is just trying to decide where to go and what to take.
