i3 4150 vs FX-6300

Well I think I could get an ivy i5 from ebay. Tho I dont have the mobo. But is it worth it?

It depends if you're okay with buying a used chip/how much the cost difference is (total cost difference board+cpu vs. board+cpu).

no it's not...this will most likely cost you as much as an H97 motherboard and an haswell i5...this recommendation was stricktly valid in the case where you would already have one of these socket 1155 motherboards laying around...

The price for these chips are still high and same goes for motherboards and they are harder to find...if you can find a deal on a combo or something then maybe it would be worth it but those sellers know to darn well what these cpu can still do with modern stuff so they are asking the big price for them.
