You know you're a techie when. . .

When you start to care more about the PC's aesthetics rather than what's actually in it (because you've already upgraded everything to the best thing you can afford and your bucket 'o' graphics cards is full) :P

When you have to explain about a component to the person that taught you how to build computers. (True story, explained to my dad what an M.2 SSD was, he still bought one and had a go at me for it not being able to fit in his old mobo).

You are confusing the word techie with tech addict. They are not synonyms.

you are proud of your ability to scrape together a 1440p gaming rig for around $250 and water cool the GPU.

the system started out with an old sandy bridge I3 and a P8H61 motherboard with 4gb of RAM, for free, "dead". throw in an 840 evo I was given broken, then RMA'd even though it wasn't mine and I had no proof of purchase. the included case is also surprisingly not bad.

throw in a CX500m for $35, a GTX 760 for $125, two fans for $20, ram for $20, a H50 quiet edition for $45 and I have a dead silent, gaming with frosty GPU temps and some decent performance at 1440p

oh yeah, I'm even proud of the cooling ducts made out of cardboard, a slurpee cup, and lots of masking tape that isolate the three thermal zones so that the PSU and CPU maintain cool intake temps even though the GPU pumps out lots of heat.

When you realize there are 20 empty CPU boxes in your room, and then find that you are missing 1 more to make a pyramid with them.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

You know youre a techie when :

1.Talking about GPU's gives you a hard on...... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

2.You think apple is shit and a rip off .

3. You ask youre friend : '' Do u even overclock bruh ?!? ''

4.You spent 6 h or more on a PC parts list that you are composing for youre friend with youre friend for his future gaming rig and arguing about the specs within the 4 h mark  ( yes that has happend to me , dont ask )

5. Youre mouses DPI is more sensitive than youre virtual girlfriedns feelings { ͡• ͜ʖ ͡•} .

6. you have a thing for sleeved colored cables ( im looking at you linus..... )

7. Youre steam libery is so chuck full of games that you can make everyone in africa play one game at a time.

This goes wayyy back to high school, but you know you're a techie when...

you install a keylogger on your teacher's computer while he steps out of class, and then proceed to use his privileges to check out his files, and the files of fellow classmates. Perhaps using pieces of other's code for a certain computer science assignment to enhance yours.
