New Gaming & School Laptop about $1200 (for a friend)

So my friend's getting a laptop for school and will use it as his primary computer, so it has to have a decent enough graphics card.

His parents will pay about $1200 AUD (Aussie dollars) for something.

Requirements are that it has to have:

  • Good battery life
  • more than 128gb of storage (probably about 1tb)
  • Have a graphics card that is atleast a gt 750 or gt 840, preferably a gtx-glass kepler or maxwell gpu (shadowplay buffer man, it's amazing)
  • Be not 3 tons
  • Not too big (max about 15)

So what I had in mind was this laptop ($50 over but it is a great value compared other options available)

CPU: Intel 4th Gen. i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz(Turbo 3.5GHz)
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz
HDD: 1TB SATA
Graphic: Nvidia GTX 850M
Screen: 15.6” FHD(1920x1080) LED Screen (TN)

Expansion: eSATA *D-Sub *HDMI *USB3.0
*WiFi-N *Bluetooth*Card Reader*SoundBlaster Cinema*2.5kg

Obviously, when raw specs are seen, some budget cuts are apparent and it isn't the lightest of laptops but people seem to enjoy using these as they have great keyboards, come apart easily for upgrading (ram, the two 2.5" bays, the msata slot and the dvd bay (which can be swapped for a 2.5" hdd)) and is a great performer for the amount you pay. It's just that 2.5kg is a bit heavy and it only gets about 4 hours of normal browsing, youtube, music etc.

Thanks is advance, your answers nearly always help me and I really appreciate them.

EDIT: Also a touchscreen would be nice but isn't required.

PS: Also any additional information/experience related between the two mobile below would be nice:

Razer Orochi:

 - Great asthetics and premium feel

 - Decent sensor

 - Compact with carrying case

 - Wired-mode avaliable for more performance or when battery is drained (no charging though)

 - Comfortable

Logitech Anywhere MX

 - Good asthetics

 - Comfortable

 - $10 cheaper than the competition that I have

 - Great sensor, even tracks glass

 - Less hate when mentioning this mouse

could I have one of your laptops? My xps 12 struggles with it's integrated graphics

Great laptop, but lenovo doesn't release it in Australia so wtf. It's already slightly over the $1200 mark + $100 shipping from the US + 10% and $50 import duties

Yeah well I ask strangers on the internet for advice.
