or I think you can go into live page debug and view the frame totals/time elapsed and do some math

Does anyone else have the problem where the 60 fps stutters for the videos? I use magic actions, but when I disable it the same results of stuttering are evident...It shows I've dropped many frames, but I don't know what the issue is.

your eyes/brain occipital cannot differenciate after about 100fps so that is the cap for ever and every unless Intel invents an overclock for our noodles

Well , the fastest of neurons have a max hertz of 0.2Khz , so 200 Fps I would assume is the Fastest possible you can see and differentiate.

it's still got kinks the code but they are probably triggered by some content/permission/cache setting in advanced in options

If only previously-uploaded files at 60fps could have just been converted to 60fps ):

so Google pulled off to employ a new encoder that may be why the studders are prevalent

Didn't they have this for a while for users that used HTML5?

Yes but normal users couldn't upload 60fps video, there was only like 2 or 3 videos for it I think.

Yup, I tried uploading a 2160p 60fps video shortly after it was announced, and after a day of youtube processing it just spat out a normal 30fps one.

I might try again, although the damn file size, and that upload time. :o

The whole chrome exclusive thing is kinda annoying. I mainly use firefox and switching to a different browser just for youtube is a bit silly IMO.

Since they are still encoding 720p and 1080p at 30fps as well as 60fps they should have a button to let the user choose if they want 60fps for the video they are watching or not. Unfortunately not everyone has a good enough internet connection to stream 1080p60fps and this will just force Chrome users to use Firefox or IE and I'm sure Google doesn't want that.

They better get it working on other browsers soon, I really don't want to have to use Chrome again.

actully no, cause it uses HTML 5 and you can change the speed so those people should be okay; also the automated system should help to solve this.
