My current PC at lowest prices is probably around $900, but personally I would spend around $1500 on one, that's the "sweet spot" in my opinion.

For a new build, $2k USD would probably be my max. I would have better uses for my money if I went past that.

My current budget was 5000, but I'd probably spend millions if I could afford to

It's kind of difficult for me to answer, because euros.

I wouldn't spend more than 3000€, which should be around 3800$, if had that much money. I wouldn't need such a powerful machine, nor do I see myself spending more than that.

I'm currently targeting a 1700€ build, 2100$ if Yahoo doesn't fail me, that's my sweet spot when it comes to price actually worth paying.

As much as it takes to make the PC look good. I never have a set budget on any PC build I do. The sky is the limit when you do builds like that.

When I built my first one, which I still have, at the time, I paid $2100. That's partly my 7970's fault which I bought at launch.

Given the opportunity, I will spend about that again gladly but I'd definitely do some things differently next time.

Enough to play at 60+fps for a long time on a 4k display, i have no idea how much could that be, but i'd spend that at most.

Just wanted to see how much people are spending? I spent my life savings of $1100 on mine.

If $1,100 is your life savings and you spent it on a highly depreciable object. I strongly advise re evaluating your financial situation and/or life in general.

As to your question, the most I have spent on a computer is $500. I would usually just play on my friends computers that could play the higher end games

1500 Euros is a great budget for a PC. However i believe you get the best experience only when you peripherals are good too, so i could spend about 2x1500 just for the peripherals.

Way too much for a student like me. I'd say around $2500, but you have to know, that what is a $2000 system in the US costs something along the lines of $2400-$2700 in Denmark because of taxes.

depending on how much i have, unlimited.

i personally would usually just continue to upgrade one computer and use spare parts as backup/for friends who cant afford.

saves money when you re-use parts that are already over kill,

my maximum budget for any one part, currently, is 600 bucks. (usually a monitor)

I bought my first PC for about $900 at the time, but I haven't and may never buy an entire PC all at once again unless I need a second one for some reason. Just upgrades upon upgrades.

My current PC  is worth ~750€ (930$) but when I build a new PC I'll probably use ~1200€
