ELSA Shows off Their GTX 980

Yes I now I said I was cutting down the amount of time I was spending here, but this was too good to pass up.

 

So ELSA is a Japanese manufacturer, I'm pretty sure I heard something about their passively cooled GTX 750ti a while back.

 

 

Anyways, on to the news!

The S.A.C cooler will supposedly offer silent air cooling and should be easy to clean as the shroud is suspended by two thumb screws. allowing it to easily be pulled off to remove dust. The new custom GTX 980 doesn’t have an exact release date just yet or a price tag but it will likely remain exclusive for Japan for a while so reviews may be hard to come by.

 

That shround looks so cool it might be Frozen! ahahaha ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

 

It has 4GB of VRAM and a 1253 Boost clock.

 

 

My thoughts-

 

I would buy one paint it like blue and pay someone to Airbrush a picture of Elsa on it! lol @CreepersCrawlers

 

In all honesty it looks pretty legit, and I would probably buy one, if I had the money and wanted a 980.

I do like the look of the cooler, not to "gamery" but not quite as clean as the reference.

It looks like they took the evga design and made it not shitty.

Love the clean aesthetics of this cooler. It would be nice if ELSA got more popular around the world and not limited to Japan since it is always nice to see a different approach and another company with their own different designs. 

I like it a lot as well. You know besides that the amount of Frozen puns I can make is just too DAMN high. The cooler is rather sleek and I like it more then anything else on the market at the moment. Let's just hope the rest is good too.

I was doing a project as I was doing a la project at the same time I typed this out.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Looks nice everyone is talking about evga but it reminded me of xfx 6000 series cards just coz the different levels in the plastic.

I'm honestly kind of sick of shrouds. Nothing compares to the Gigabyte WFX3 or new Windforce shrouds imo (except the PCS+ from PowerColor, which is very similar to me, and then the new Colorwhatever cards from Asia).

What I want are some revolutionary blower-style cards from both a performance/case temperature and aesthetics point of view. That ain't happening, I don't think..

Won't deny that ELSA has done a good job on this one. Just.. Bored of shrouds I guess.
