Is it me, or is the Titan Z finally relevant at $1500?

It would be pointless for a mini ITX builds tbh

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W

No. It still lacks proper cooling like the 295x2.

If nothing else, to be dropped in to make a beastly mini-ITX gaming rig?

Most mITX cases are only 2 slot, so it still wouldnt fit. Lol.

I would rather get 2 cards and SLI, for better cooling, thus better performance and less noise. As a compute card though, it's a whole different story.

a couple 970's will probably beat it.

The reference is 3 slot, but EVGA ACX is double slot

Its an nvidia GPU. It doesnt need liquid cooling to stay under 80C. Also its very difficult to make room in a SFF build for an additional 120mm and fan.

 

Digitalstorm made a SFF MITX build with a titan z, and there was no way a 295x2 would have fit.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I would get it. I prefer cards that work better with multiple screens. They look amazing too.

Drop this to $1000 and you have deal. I like the high vram and prefer Nvidia (features). Also no need for sli. I like the evga sc version....
