So a few friends and I have been arguing over if stuff like this takes talent or doesn't. I believe it does, I believe it takes just as much talent, time, and skill as playing an instrument. However my friends don't believe doing this type of stuff takes talent and is something anyone can do.

So am I right or are they right?

Ask them if they can remember all those sounds, and then swap them out at any given time to make a new song. Playing a piano is safe, the keys are always the same sound. So I guess, yes it takes a whole lot of skills to do this.

Well to be honest -  i think it doesn't need as much talent to get started as it needs for example to play the guitar. However the reason for this is, that the guitar has been around for more than 300 years and a lot of techniques, styles and songs have been made. Another thing to conside -  if you are learning an instrument you have to learn notes and music theory -  which you actually don't have to learn with this launchpad (however it is recommended to do so)

However mastering both of them takes lots of talent and a huge amount of practice. Getting good at anything actually requires a lot of practice. It doesn't matter if it is electrical music, classic, computer games or anything else

You need good ears and good memory to be good at doing that. It isn't easy at all, tell your friend to try this before making a statement such as this requires no talent/skill to do.

To be fair, a couple years ago, I downloaded a software to make electronic music. It took maybe ten minutes to make a song that could've come from the sort of groups/people that make music like this...

Maybe I'm just gifted.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

talent but not creative since there just mashing two songs together

Not really. Most remix's are multiple songs. Even then, if it was two songs, you have to screw around with the songs to get the right mix of the BPM in each song, to make them match up, and even sound remotely good.
