I hate these benchmarks comparisons for example here is a comparison of the A8 vs the K1 

 

(cant find any comparing the K1 directly to desktop CPU)

Can I run a full version of Adobe Premier on this chip just as fast as a 2012 Mac Pro?... or does it just have a faster browser....... 

 

Its hard to directly compare the two in a meaningful manor..

PS3 - 192 GFLOPS

Tegra K1 - 365 GFLOPS

 

For some perspective, the XBox One puts out 1.31 TFLOPS (1341 GFLOPS)

On the low end, the Tegra 4 (previous version) put out 97 GFLOPS

Also AMD's R9 290X puts out 5.6 TFLOPS (5734 GFLOPS)

The Titan is 4.3 TFLOPS (4403 GFLOPS)

What rubbish! So the ARM chip now matches Intel Xeon Gainstown processors? As if.

Maybe in a purely single threaded application for web browsing, but once you change it to 32-bit or 64-bit multi threaded it'll never get close. Try doing any actual work on the ARM SoC vs a Workstation than take still use the latest graphics card for acceleration as well.

Here is the Mac Pro, I know it says 2010 of some reason but the Xeon W3565 is the entry level processor for the 2012 Mac Pro

I bet my iPhone opens a web page faster than my 4770k.. does that mean it can play crysis 3? it can barely play bioshock well with terrible gfx... its just a totality useless benchmark especially if software is never made to take advantage of it being that fast

however, the Denver is a great performer thou, I read somewhere that it's not very good on battery and that's why they don't put it in phones, so that'll be interesting.

 

also, 64bit K1 kills 32bit K1. but people will still go on to tell themselves that 64bit is "just a number"
