PC Problems you live with

Guest

I have a SSD on hte mobo backplate, an optical aswell as a HDD in the 5.25" bay, but only straight/angled instead of straight/straight SATA cables. So i end up covering a SATA port on the mobo and putting a little strain on the connectors on the optical drive and HDD. Gonna fix that soon though.

who cares...

DLL errors... I get them a lot after installing a new game and when I want to start the game it gives me a DLL error. I hate it and it sometimes takes days to find a fix that works :(

Case going into resonance and being extremely annoying at times, due to the way the HDDs are installed without the slightest trace of dampening.

Will remove 2 of the 3 as soon as my SSD arrives, hopefully at least mitigating the problem.

I have to turn on my computer twice. The first time it gets stuck on a black screen so I have to turn it off and then on again then it'll boot into Windows.

No sleeved cables.

My 1Tb HDD has 60-70Gb of free space.

My RAM is different.

When I got my PC, I installed Vegas over the Program Files folder somehow and with uninstalling, it deleted over half of my Steam games. It also deleted some Windows Messenger files so it didnt work. Now for like 2-3 years theres a error message everytime I turn on my computer.

I have Logitech keyboard and mouse. Been using for years. On my laptop the it wanted me to register them but I just said remind me in 14 days for 2 years. Now on my PC is the same. I just press remind me in 14 days. I can make it not come up but I like it.

Oh and my second monitor is a bit darker than the first one and the first one has a dead pixel stripe on right side. Both were used before.

I've got two things:

The first is that my hard drive is noisy. I mean really noisy, it's about 3 times as loud as anything else in my system (any tips would be appreciated) but I just live with it because I can't be bothered to find a solution.

The second is the awful cable sleeving on the cables from my PSU. I'm using a TX 750 from corsair, which is by no means bad, but the wiring is just really ugly (seriously corsair?). It's worse on the PCI-E, and the 24 Pin, which I could fix using an extension cable or some custom sleeving, but I'm too lazy...

That when I press my power button my PC turns on, off, then on again.

Oh, and very infrequently I'll just get a couple of hours where my PC won't work. It just crashes and won't turn back on for a bit, then it'll be fine. It's annoying and unrepeatable, but (so far) it seems to fix itself...

My Corsair AX760 emits a high-pitched whine when the computer is off. I thought about getting one of the new Corsair RM series power supply units, but I still want Seasonic quality, so I've decided to continue doing what I've been doing: flicking the power switch at the back of the power supply unit after shutting the computer down.

so I am wondering am I the only one who just lives with some little things not working quite right

I demand absolute flawless operation and perfection in my computer system. And I mean flawless operation. No game crashes, no blue screens no issues at all. if so i go on a rampage to fix it.

I do not tolerate problems with my systems. I demand absolute perfection of my systems, and i keep them that way.

The Ethernet jack on my PC has sort of worn out over time due to repeated "you know what" and it disconnects even with the application of a small disturbance and this pisses me off as I have to go and tinker with it to get it to work !
