@skitz9417

Really? I was under the impression that this was a below average overclock for that chip. 1.4V does seem a little excessive (Not to count on that the board is supplying more voltage than is reported anyway. ASRock board fail there.)

I may be able to push it to 4.8 or so, but I gotta wait for my downloads to finish first.

I cannot express how much I detest SpeedFan. It once caused a system crash on my laptop, that Windows refused to restart and I had to reinstall the OS.

Don't diss the Intel stock cooler, I ran my E8400 at 4Ghz with one for like 4 years and only changed paste once.

Only bluescreen I ever had was in the Liberty Prime scene in Fallout 3. But the temperature never hit Tmax.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Got 4.3 Ghz on 1.4 v on my i7 3820

I know its high volt bud was in a hurry and my cousin have experimented with this cpu before

stress_zps8c26df42.png

Copied your data on my 3820, and it worked flawlessly while stress testing it.

I'm new to overclocking so this helped me, thanks.

maybe the guys doesnt know how to overclock his cpu

if you can overlock to 4ghz, you can do 4.8. It's the silicon lottery that is holding you back

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place
