They actually make use of their super car RMP's though, apparently it's the only way they can catch high speed super cars. Makes sense, no?

Vancouver has/had a few 911 RMP's that never saw road time other than publicity events. That's sad.

I prefer the American way towards police cars. Cheap, yet can hit some decent speeds. And with them being cheap, you can ram those crims off the road. 

What do they know of England, who only England know?

I didn't watch video but I know Dubai also has bugattis as police cars I saw it on some YouTube video

I thought police cars were generally practical in most places where there is enough money to buy cars for the police.

For example police here in Finland usually drive a diesel VW Passat. Pretty much as practical as it gets.

Before that they drove Ford Mondeos. Perfectly practical too.

Do they use complete shite in the UK then?

They use the likes of Volvo's, BMW's, Land Rovers and Citrons. They are practical, for what the police here do, but they are too expensive to apply a little more force to whoever may have stolen a car or is trying to get away from the police. 

 With all the technology that they cram into police cars, I would have thought they would have decided to go with a cheaper option, giving the police more of an option when dealing with crims. Instead the way they apprehend a criminal who is using a car to get away is a bit of a faff really.

1. Electric cars have the capability to be faster, handle better, and grip better.

2. Your gonna be waiting a good long while for that.

Maybe. I really don't have any experience with the police applying force because nobody really does anything severe enough to warrant that. Not in most parts of Finland at least.

I see it more of a way to save more money for the police service than just being able to use cheaper cars so they can ram the crims off the road. But either way, I think cheaper for the police would be more practical.

I haven't researched but I do get the feeling too that cheaper police cars would save money.

Now that I think about it I'm not sure what cars they would get though. They don't sell some random cheap fords here. Toyotas and the lot aren't any cheaper than volkwagens either.

Maybe the police should buy used Mitsubishi colts or something, those are cheap.

If you think about it, no one is going to try to get away when they see the police running around in those cars, or at least they're very unlikely to try. Compare that to people running from cheap slow cars, that have to be replaced from damage done by chasing someone, ramming them off the road, etc.
