Nvidia ‘Big Daddy’ Maxwell GM200 GPU Alleged Specs Leaked – GTX 980 Ti or GTX Titan X?

No 990 rumors, no cares given.

Whats the point of making a 990 If big maxwell is twice as strong?

These WCCF reactions posts are pointless WCCF AREN'T the ones who are writing up these articles out of thin air and only for "clickbait" Their source was PCTUNING, if anything THIS would be more appropriate - http://i.imgur.com/8XlDWY5.png

WCCF is unreliable for any news. GPU, CPU...PSU...TECH...what color the sky is...

They are one of the worst, if not THE worst rumor mills out there among popular tech sites. They are a tech tabloid.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Yea but they're NOT the ones writing up theses stories saying "according to our insider source" or some other bs, its almost ALWAYS is a write up based on info from some other tech site. I dont undertsand why other sites like videocardz dont get so much flak as wccf when they basically are doing the same thing.

Oh we hate  videocardz too. It's like gawker media made a gpu website. WCCF gets a lot of it's flack from CPU news actually.

how is this rumored card twice as strong as SLI 980?

If this new card is the next titan then zero cares are given anyway, it's another compute card anyways.

If They wanted to 25 SMM's on 20nm would be like the size of a GK110. With effiency like maxwell it could be possible.

%

They could pull 3200 cores with big maxwell. I doubt it'll be a none Titan card but anywhere between 2688/2944 cores on the Top Gtx card. Either way (2nd Generation) maxwell performance is like 45% more performance per core over kepler cores. But you're right it'll be more like 10-15 percent slower then 980 SLI.

One day.... I'll go out and buy the best card of the newly released nvidia GPUs right off the bat.´But since the 980 is already 500€, i can only see something beyond 1000€ for a 50% faster card. It doesn't sound too bad. nvidia's final round at milking us with 28 nm.

who cares...

50% more performance over a titan black, its either completely fake or we are looking at a dual gpu on a single board card like the titan z. like maybe dual 970.

Actually I think you're wrong. The 980 outperforms the 780TI with 700 fewer cores. Put a full 2816 Maxwell up against 2880 Kepler, and giving the Maxwell a huge clock advantage...I'm not doubting a 50% boost actually.

still sceptical. Someone pointed this out already to me. This is why. Nvidia now holds the "fastest single card" title, and for less money than the previous "fastest single card" why produce a card right after that offers more performance (at a much steeper cost) only to compete with with  the brand new 980. It would make sense if this was a new Titan. Secondly the article doesn't say what the 50% increase over the Titan Black is in. BF4? or rendering?

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

forget Kepler....forget Maxwell.......waiting patiently for Pascal   ;)

I so can't wait for AMD's soon to be revealed cards.   I'll bet you anything it will have 6gb of v-ram.

512-bit bus, 7000MHz memory, 750 more cores, same clock rate... Yeah 50% stronger sounds about right.

Sounds like it's going to be quite the expensive. I paid $800 for my GTX 980 so yeah, don't think I am going to worry. Would not pay more than what I already have.
