i'm pretty sure its 16 threads only for the combined test.

For the Phsyics test, the combined is mostly single core ;)

nah, the Firestrike runs 32 threads for CPU regardless of the underlying hardware, but once you step over that there's no more threads to run on hardware so you can now stream the benchmarks without losing score xD

well on my dual xeon system it doesnt use both cpu's fully and buildzoid had issues with 6950x on it too. got a higher score with no ht on.

pretty sure it's 32 threads, what buildzoid was running into I believe was weird multi-GPU setup with the drivers...

Yep, even if it claims that it can use 32 threads, it can't use them efficiently

I just noticed this....not sure how it got there, whether I put up the wrong link or what, but....line 20 on the overall score, is NOT mine.  Overall score 33285, graphics score 49364 belongs to PunkSods.  I never could hit 49k graphics.

How's that house buying/building or whatever going bud?  It's a great time in the HEDT market.  :D

I decided I was rushing things a bit too much, so I throttled back a bit.  Still building a new house, but am going to wait until spring next year to break ground, and be ready to move in around July / August 2018.  So, I'll be upgrading to the X299 platform when it hits.

Eyeballing the 7900.....looks like fun.

Yeah, getting the house stuff right the first time around is far more important then any PC.  I'm lucky that my wife picks them (houses) and I just pay for them.  xD

Are you going with the 7900X from the get go, waiting for some HCC parts, or a combination of both?

I plan to start with the 7900X and transition to the 7980XE when they become available and depending on reviews.

Well, because I'm trying to save money at the same time, I'll probably start with a good board, get the cheapest CPU, clock the hell out of it, then move on to the 7900X.  I don't have any plans to go higher than that atm, but.....I get urges....

Where do you guys expect a 7820X to fall in for physics scores? For Fire Strike. I believe my 6700K did 13,500 stock iirc. Time to get my scores (hopefully) well above 21,000.

I would guess in that neighborhood.  I was pulling high 18k physics with a 5820k.  Given their increased IPC and clock speed, I'd say that's well within range.

I'm still going ham for Threadripper if it's below 650 for cheapest 16 core

The clock for clock performance is pretty good, I just wish they sprinkle it with some more pixie dust to break that 4.0GHz barrier....

the little 16 core does. i think there's two. little and big.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
