That's right.  G.Skill said that they saw better IMCs on the X chips.

thats not true at all. my 1800X has the worst imc out of my ryzen chips. the 1500x is best with 1600 in the middle

Could be.  G.Skill is known to lie.  Trust me, I'm going through an RMA with them right now and they are some unorganized people.

And of course, it depends on the silicon lottery, but in general, X parts have better memory controllers than non X CPUs

yeah ocuk dont even stock their memory at all any more because they were unreliable and hard to work with  they are good at binning memory but not much else

you dont have to make things bigger. i can read very small things ok. i have my phone set so it brings up websites in desktop mode and i have a 28" 4k monitor

It's the truth man.  I am blown away by how much you have to do just to get a RMA approval number just to ship it out to them.  It took just short of 2 weeks of back and forth emailing and I had to submit the RMA form online twice because they couldn't find the first one.  

 

To make it even better, the day my memory arrived to them, they were closed at 11am on a Friday.  The post office had to redeliver on the following Monday.  Now I'm really at their mercy because they have my RAM.  lol

4.3ghz? Looks like you need a delid and better cooling. Your physics score is lower then a 5960x and ryzen 7

My mistake. It was 4.3 on cores 1-2, 4.0 the rest I think. HWinfo said they're going to update their software for X299 soon so might have incorrect clock speeds. Temps were 50c cores 1-2, mid 40's the rest.

 

@done12many2 said he'll help me get dat physics score up.

Cooling was good but looks like hwinfo was reporting incorrect clock speeds.
