I'm looking very seriously at an EVGA X99 FTW K.  I think I'm going to go ahead and get it.  Then sell the X99A and 5820k, that seem to work brilliantly together.

Why that specific board? I would go ASUS or Giga for X99.

I like the features it has and I've never used an EVGA board.  I used to use Gigabyte boards exclusively, until I had 4 boards in a row drop memory lanes in less than a year.  Moved away from them and have gone with ASUS and MSI for the last 6 or 7 builds....just want to see how the EVGA boards work out.  Plus, I know their customer service is just amazing, so.....

Ordered it today, it arrives on Saturday.

Interesting... you got about 300 higher graphics score than me but your cards are only running at 1310mhz? Did it report your OC correctly? My cards passed the test at 1541mhz and 8ghz (2000mhz bus clock) but it reported 12000mhz bus clock.

ah ok makes sense then... I guess they still don't have accurate data reporting for system specs. I guess I should OC my memory more and see if I can beat your GPU score :P

Nope.  My best graphics score actually came on a run with my 5820k.  12651 @ 1531 / 2153.  Still trying to get the new processor to play nice....so, eh

That's solid.  Get the memory clock up a tad, and you'd have it.

Does seem a bit odd though. Considering this is an old 1545 core | 8000 (effective) memory run of mine: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4171382

Aim for around 1450+ core and 8000 (effective) memory to start if you can
