What was the last OEM desktop that you have/had before you started building PCs

Mine is a 10 year old Dell Dimension 3000 that hasnt been used in a long time and is in perfect condition. what about you guys?

GPU: Reference GTX 970  SSD: 250GB Samsung 970 EVO.  HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB. Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro. PSU: Corsair RM1000X. OS: Windows 10 Pro UEFI mode  (installed on SSD)

Peripherals:  Display: Acer XB272 1080p 240Hz G Sync Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Brown Mouse: Logitech G502 RGB Headhet: Roccat XTD 5.1 analogue

Acer Aspire M3910. Had an i3-550 and a GT330. One of them will be turned into a home server while the other one will stripped down to spare parts.

HP Pavilion something, i think it's around 2004 and 2005, i can't remember, it was a AMD Athlon 64, 1gb of ram and upgraded the hdd to 320gb.

I have multiple, but the one nearest to me is dell dimension 4700

ah, the good old Dells, reliable, powerful for their time and good value. Why is Dell so bad these days? well my Dell Inspiron 1750 ( what i am using now) has a defective motherboard and dead battery.

Well from personal experience, Dell tends to lock you down when it comes to hardware upgrades. For example, My vostro 400 (which is still active in use but not by me) has a Core 2 Quad Q6600, a 64-bit cpu but is held back by a 32-bit motherboard...so it is stuck at 4GB

My family has a 10-15 year old one. Not gonna bother with the make or specs.

Well, I, unlike some people, love Apple computers so these still hang around. I also have leftovers from a Lenovo desktop that I use frequently (the leftovers, case, a case fan, Core 2 Quad that's lived a full life already and the disk drive)

I had (have) a 7 year old Gateway desktop that my dad originally owned.  It works but radeon HD 3200 graphics are nowhere near adequate for gaming.

IBM PS/2 386 @ 20MHz, 2MB ram 80MB HDD with windows 3.1 and IBM DOS 4.0(DOSshell)

After that I've built every PC for myself and have only bought 2 laptops and a single HP all-in-one for my father to "go to the facebook", which was a BIG mistake.  Ended up replacing the HP all-in-one in less then 2 years because of how crap HP is..

why are iMacs so overpiced? building myself an X99 Rig that destroys an iMac and is also nearly £1000 cheaper
