So have I xD but to be honest we're waiting on AMD gamer to finish the story, you could draw some concept art.

I still haven't messaged pixxie payne to see if she will join, I've been busyish listening to new music bands.

Okay just a quick bump, we should probably look at some other engines. I'll get to work on a HUD and maybe a title menu but quick question.

Names anyone?

Cold War

Now That's Just Cold

Too easily forgettable xD , we need something that can be easily recognised like Crysis or Farcry or Unreal or Quake or Metro.

How about we got for Strife , I like it ^_^

pretty sure there is a game with a name like that. To me though that sames sounds too generic. A games name makes a first impression so I rather have something thought out give me some time to think, but really I think it would be better to have the name when the plot is done.

edit- didn't see strife that is better, but not quite their for me.

xD I know that feeling, happened to me with my novel during NaNoWriMo but don't rush it or get anxious that'll make it worse :p

I just thought of something,

If you get hit, You WILL bleed out slowly (like 5 hp a second out of 520HP total (Females get 480HP to balance for a smaller target))

A single shot from the railguns would do ~80HP of damage, at stock settings, with a stomach shot. (heart shots and head shots deal 600HP of damage, Unless you equip a vest or helmet, which lowers it to 300HP of damage, respectively)

Anyway, there is a 100% chance of losing health, the rate depends on where you get hit, Unless you find a medic, where you can either simply stop the bleeding (which takes 3 seconds) or begin healing (10 seconds + 3 seconds for stopping the bleeding)

this would take the random aspect out of the game, which more often than not makes you feel cheated.

Available armor:

Head Armor (Helmet) - Halves the damage taken from a headshot

Chest Armor (Vest) - Halves the damage taken from a heartshot

Leg Armor (Kama) - Halves the damage taken from an Artery Shot (Crotch shot, comically named)

These Armors are gained at a certain number of kills, such as 20 for the chest, 60 for the head, and 100 for the kama, at 200 kills you will achieve the trimmed version of these armors.

Customization:

You can customize your base appearance, including Gender, Race, Clothing, Hair Color, Hair Style, Eye Color, Body Style, Face Style, etc.

I feel the armor is a bit OP and there should be more variance then just one unless it will have a lot of the customization that the guns have.

these are just the types of armor, and they will be customizable, more protection at the cost of weight (speed), thicker armor that covers less area vs thinner armor that spreads out more, the thicker armor would reduce the damage taken to the protected areas, but the thinner armor would protect more areas.

these have been done before, in real life, and there were major problems.

The random aspect of the game is good because it's like life, sometimes you can survive things you should not be able to survive such as the people surviving direct gun shots to the head. The randomness is somewhat limited due to the anti-luck aspect i mentioned earlier with the x2-1 as your body deteriorates from the multiple gun shot wounds.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've been thinking aboit 2 things, balancing and gameplay.

Balancing because of the hitbox difference between genders, and gameplay difference between genders.

For the balance i've decided that the female will be 5' 6" and the male will be 5' 10" (approximately a 6-7% difference) so thefemale will get approximately 7% less health (female gets 480, male gets 520)

Now for gameplay differences, so we have a reason to play both.

Female has a 20% armor bonus to critical (head, chest) areas (meaning armor is more useful in those areas)

At the cost of a 20% armor defficiency to non-critical (Stomach, arms, legs) areas (meaning armor is less useful in these areas)

I really dont like the random chance of bleeding out after bandaging, it should just take longer (the bandaging) the worse the wound is. You'd actually have a use for a medic then.

Edit: Sorry for the misspellings, i'm on mobile.
