what is your "normal" download speed of a game on STEAM ?

7850OC

2100KB/s

Origin and Steam are pretty much equal... The only reason it goes down is its an OLD game maybe on a slower server, or when the game is newly launched, and the servers are getting hammered by everyone downing it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

a rather consistent 4.1MB/s

last game I downloaded was about 10gb and it took about 30mins.

at that speed a seriously dont know why people call for faster Internet! even a 30gb AAA title takes an hour and a bit it's not exactly like I'd die if boredom in the time it takes!

In the morning, about 1-1.5MB/s (sometimes 2MB/s)

In the afternoon, about 200-600KB/s

It goes all over the place probably due to internet traffic.

I live in Tasmania (in Australia), so the internet infrustructure is probably pretty bad, but considering the low population its a bit surprising what the difference is between the highest and lowest speed.

On average the normal download speed would be around 300-500KB/s (But sometimes, on the really bad days it can drop down to 200KB/s or lower)

I crie evry tiem ;(

hello!

is it me you're looking for?

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Right now I am preloading GTA V for the PC... I mostly get between 200-900KB's. Sometimes I only have 50-70KB's.

(And that with the Ukrainian server wich is the fastest server in my country right now)

P.S. My Internet sucks.
