i watched it like 5 Time and i still don't understand the end, did Cobe stay there for too long to get rid of male, find saito and missed the kick ? did he go into limbo ? did saito go ther too cause he died in the dream ? because it sounded like it since his reality object spun non stop .

I haven't watched it since it came out, but I could have sworn I remembered everything having been "wrapped up" in the sense that a layer of an onion could be the last outer layer or the inner layer.

That's what i thought cause the totem is suppose to stop, but for the length they showed it too us, it didn't means he was still dreaming but if so, how could he see his Children's faces ? why couldn't he before ?

The spinning top was not his "totem". It was his wive's totem. The main character's totem was his gun. Then there's that he had his wedding ring on only in the dreams and he didn't have it on in the final scene. This heavily implies that it was real.

I've read up tons of theories about it. But in the end I remember the director saying something along the lines the ending is up to the viewer to interpret .

No, the gun was his kick. Not his totem. The ring is his totem, at least that's what it seems.

 

But you don't know whether or not he ended up in limbo, that's the point of the final scene.

It's been a while since I seen the movie, but if I remember correctly watch to the end, the last few frames you see the totem wobble. We never actually see it fall, but we never seen it wobble when it was being spun in a dream. It was just a poor attempt to create wonder about the film, I personally found it straightforward and not terribly interesting. But I've seen movies like primer which really make you think, rewatch the movie after its over then do it again to try and really figure it out.

Yes i have and to me the makers of the movie wanted to make an ending for the viewer to use his/her perception on life to get an ending. People have different views on what happened at the end and yes "i don't understand what happened in the end" is one of those views.

 

If you think inception is bad don't watch the Signal, i guarantee you will be like "huh" or "wtf" at the end.

I liked the movie. However I didn't see what was so hard to understand about it. I get that it was confusing for people like my mum who struggled to get to grips with the Matrix!

 

The ending was designed to be left up to individual interpretations I think (watched it a long time ago)
