PC itself probably €1000.

If you add the peripherals like monitors, keyboard, mouse things like that, around €1400-1500.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Mine kinda is a prebuilt. Well it was a prebuilt but I upgraded it.

Original:

  • MOBO: Foxconn DH57M02 Optiplex
  • CPU: i5 650 @ 3.20GHz 2 cores (4 threads)
  • RAM: 2x2Gb Hyundai
  • HDD: Seagate 1Tb
  • PSU: Some 300W one
  • GPU: ATI HD5450

Now:

  • MOBO: Foxconn DH57M02 Optiplex
  • CPU: i5 650 @ 3.20GHz 2 cores (4 threads)
  • RAM: 2x2Gb Hyundai + 2x2Gb Crucial
  • HDD: Seagate 1Tb
  • PSU: Corsair Builder 600M
  • GPU: GTX 760
  • CASE: Fractal Design R2 Mini

So basically at the moment it seems like a modern prebuilt. Shit mobo, CPU is weak bottlenecking GPU, RAM is mixed and GPU is beast. Also its in a pretty case which makes people buy it.

Lets say... €1199

Dell Inspiron 580 - Modified

Build log

Win 7 | GTX 760 | i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz | 2x2Gb 1333MHz Hyundai + 2x2Gb 1333Mhz Crucial RAM | Seagate 1TB 7200RPM | HyperX Fury 120Gb | Corsair Builder 600M | Fractal R2 Mini

I have been looking at some Pre-Built gaming pcs out in the market and the value is terrible on every one of them so this got me thinking how much would my own PC cost if it was a pre built system and you guys could try and come up a price for your own. Link to mine https://pcpartpicker.com/user/CyanOG/saved/j4stt6

Yours would be about $900 - $1000.

A laptop with a P440 Dual Core processor and an iGPU outputting a 1366x768 resolution and a 250GB HDD at 5400RPM? About 150-200 quid maybe

I checked the Alienware site they use lesser GPUs and put in i7s when a i5 4670k/4690k or a AMD FX-8320/8350 will do good for gaming... smh

Given my hardware.. I'd total my build to be around $1,300 pre-built. My hardware totals out to exactly $1,000, so I feel a $300 markup is reasonable.

At least $1400.

Also, I think I should point out that the 212 EVO won't fit in that case. It is at least 200 mm tall, and the 300R only supports CPU coolers up to 170 mm.
