What's the highest number of hours you've clocked for a single player game on steam?

Sammael

I have never beaten the game. I haven't even gotten through 50% of the story. I've tried. Many times.

I find it utterly mind-numbing to play. Mind-numbing. How so many people like that game, I'll never know. One day, I should bother to play 2 & 3 since I own them and I know they are fundamentally different (more FPS, less RPG, but still retaining RPG).

At first it was like, "FPS/RPG hybrid like Dragon Age Origins (Tactical/RPG hybrid), but with Sci-Fi and a AAA best seller? I must love this game when I play it." Nope.

Then I was like, "Oh, well then I'll just beat it so I can get to the other two since I heard they are different and I might like them." Nope again.

Finally, I was like, "Let's just rush through and beat this one so I can play the other two and say I have. Then I can have the right to talk about how much I hate this game." Lastly, nope. I'm too much of a completionist. I just can't not 100% an RPG or at least try to and there's just too much in this that irritates me.

For many of us we like the sci-fi setting, and our imagination does a lot of the work to help us get lost in the game world with a sense of adventure/exloration. It's kinda the same reason people like Star Trek (tv series).

I can understand that may not work for everyone

Uh... 24 hours on the first Splinter Cell. It's the one of the few games I can play on my PC. Since it's a stealth game, it makes sense to go a little slow and messing with guards is always fun. Now, Runescape? I don't remember. Maybe 100 to 300 hours? Final Fantasy XIII clocked around +120 hours.

Okay, I'm probably going to win with this one but It doesn't really count anyways. A year ago, I left on a long vacation with my PC on and GTAIV in the background. It clocked 2792 hours. http://imgur.com/g7qXKVb

My next highest  is FarCry3 with 170 hours

Edit: I didn't realize there are people who are MUCH more into their games than me.

It technically may not be on the Steam version (as I actually own the game, console, and original memory cards) but between all my different save files and cards I've logged a combined 1700+ on Final Fantasy VII... Not that you guys couldn't tell it's my favorite game or anything.

Plants Vs Zombies is my top one but that's because I let the game run while I was away to let my snail collect coins in my zen garden.

But I was driving monster trucks and eating steaks so F*** YOU!

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

Skyrim: 265 Hours

Though I'm sure I played Fallout 3 more, just pre-Steam. Also plenty of games when I was younger and did not have as much choice would be in the 400-500 hour range.
