This is the final RIG. Thank you guys for quick replies and explains. Decided to go with the 4690k if i want to OC a bit in the future, BUT ONLY if a bottleneck appears. Since EVGA's GTX 780TI is overprized and for OCers, i'm not spending more money on that.  Admins may close this topic now.

With money left over from the original $2,400 posted to get a decent keyboard and mouse.

@JohnTevor Adding more fans only makes a system louder, even if they're quieter than a normal fan.

And that is perfectly okay, but for the price of a 780 Ti you can essentially get two 290s. :)

What's with the 4770k? I'm not planing to OC it. K's are unlocked for OC right?

BTW 2x 290s are better than a 780Ti?

Oh and i said no Liquid/Water cooling and no SSD. I don't trust any of those lol:)

And all case fans are replaced by Silent Wings 2 fans.

How's this for final setup?

Pretty nice build! Why don't you trust water cooling or SSDs? SSDs are more reliable than hard drives and closed loop water coolers are very reliable and quiet.

ssds are FAR more reliable than hdds. and AIO coolers are quite reliable these days. Theres also no real reason to spend that much of the budget on better case fans...just turn down the fan speed/voltage and they'll be just fine.

If you are building a $2K+ system you would be stupid not to go with an SSD, just saying. I would say get a Crucial M4 or M500. I have an M500 and it's crazy fast.

Also, Did you not say that you wanted

best factory OC performance on the market

Get an unlocked processor. Trust me, one day you may feel like overclocking and that unlocked multiplier will save you a lot of hassle.

You don't need a water cooler, but it takes up a hell of a lot less space than a large air cooler, doesn't get in the way of your RAM and GPUs and looks so much better.

Just turn down your stock fans and you'll be fine. You don't need to spend a fortune on high-end fans. If you wanted you could get some SP120s and undervolt them. You can get twin packs for about half of one of your Be Quiet!s. I'm a Noctua fanboy but I can't afford their fans.

If I were you and I wanted quiet I would get a Fractal Design R4. That's optimized for quiet running and it's cheaper than the 750D.

And trust me, if you are going price-to-performance, get yourself those 290s. You will be so much happier.

the - ~ $300 means minus $300 give or take a few dollars.

You don't need an i7 processor. You can use an i5. - ~$100

You don't need a 780 ti for a 1080p monitor, replace it with an r9 290 - ~ $300

and these guys telling you to get 2 graphics cards don't know what they're talking about. You don't need 2 graphics cards for a single 1080p monitor.

You don't need a velociraptor HDD. You can get a 2 TB HDD for half the price. - ~ $150

You don't need a Maximum Hero motherboard if you aren't overclocking. You can get a nice $140- $150 motherboard. so - ~$50

And since you aren't overclocking you don't need that heatsink and fan. You can use a Hyper 212 by CM. - ~$40

And please don't buy all those fans. You don't need to spend $30 per fan on 5 case fans. You're spending $150 on case fans. Get some 120mm Antec Tri cool fans for $15 instead.

I see this all the time. People think that they can get good performance by buying the expensive parts. Please do some research before spending this much money on computer parts.

and you're getting 1 stick of RAM. You need 2 sticks of RAM for modern systems. Get 2 x 4GB instead of 1 x 8 GB.

EDIT: I think this sounded a bit mean and I don't want to sound like I'm preaching at you, so just to let you know, I once bought a pre built PC for $800 thinking that it was going to run games well simply because it was $800. That was before I really learned how to build PCs. It was an HP Pavilion Elite from 2008 and I paid the premium for the extended warranty and I actually paid $60 for them to remove all of the bloat ware that comes with a new PC because I thought it was going to make it run better. I also paid $50 for Geeksquad to install a new PSU that I paid $30 for and it turned out that the PSU was a bad PSU so I paid another $50 for them to remove it and put in a new one.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

AMD FX 8350 CPU / R9 280X GPU / Asus M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard / 8GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600 RAM / 128G OCZ Vertex 4 SSD / 256G Crucial SSD / 2T WD Black HDD / 1T Seagate Barracude HDD / Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU / Coolermaster HAF 922 Case

Why do you keep insisting on adding that $200 HDD ? You don't need it. My spec on the previous page is better. If you don't want the 27" monitor then swap it for a 144Hz 24".

You are spending more on fans than you are on the case.

You don't need an I7 for gaming, just get an I5.

The case fans are unnecessary.

Grab a 1tb 7,200 rpm Seagate Barracuda for $50 instead of spending $200 on a 1tb 10,000 rpm hdd

You can get a cheaper motherboard for the same performance, such as an MSI Gaming-5 or a Gigabyte Gaming-7
