I hate gas stoves

This is totally random but I hate gas stoves.

What about power outlets? If it happens then you can use gas stoves with a match. Electrical stoves won't work during outlets.

yes but ours is old and dated so it feels like its going to go kboom everytime I use it since it always clicks cause it doesnt ignite every time.

The have a more even heating than most electric stoves.

The only downside I can think of is that if you accidentally leave it on, you can suffocate yourself to death, but that's why they add a scent so you don't do that.

And since natural gas is so abundant it's not like we are "wasting" any of it.

Yep I think mine is from the 70's, its big and old...but shes cooks well yet....its just I'm a computer nerd and would rather buy a 2.5k pc and a 5k pc before a washer and dryer and stove -.- (upgrades at least I already have one of each except for the computers)

i personally like gas stoves allot more. I also think they are safer than electric stoves. I have known two people whose houses have burned down because something in their electric stove failed.

Gas stoves are superior because you can't cook marshmallows on an electric range.

Coming from a cooks perspective, gas is better. It allows better and finer adjustment when cooking, which allows someone to get the right settings for a good rolling boil, a nice slow simmer, or to cook a steak perfectly. You cant do that as easy on an electic hob, as they usually generate more heat, even on the lowest settings.

Gas is way cheaper vs electric, but I'm not fond of the scent of gas. There is also that paranoid feeling in case of leak. On the plus side, even heat. When it comes to grilling, though... I'm sorry, Hank. Propane sucks.
