Hi LTT community,

I just thought that I'd mention that this forum now has over 100,000 members. This is pretty awesome for Linus. Since only starting up this forum last year it's grown quite quickly. So, a great milestone for this great forum and Linus himself.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

It´s good that the forum has a certain degree of public interest in the internet but when a forum gets too big too fast means usually one thing... too many trolls and too less mods to control them ;) . It´s better when a forum grows at a healthy speed. LTT is my favorite forum because there are many good people here and to my surprise in the beginning many super enthusiasts like my self, which is cool.

 

Like with hyped sites that got within 4 weeks 250.000 users and went to crap after 6 month. I hope this never happens here :) .

Are you suggesting that if a forum were to gain 100K members in, say, 3-5 years that that's the sign of a good forum?
