Is Hamilton an American thing?

They used to be fully American, however they were bought by the Swiss.

It belongs to the Swatch Group now (like Omega, Longines and ETA)

They're priced just below the Longines brand.

Hamilton is a very famous brand in that price-range though, but can be very difficult if not impossible to find in certain countries.

I'm surprised you've heard of Oris before hearing about Hamilton.

Either way, I highly recommend you check them out if you're interested in anything from that price-range.

Edit:

I found Hamilton while looking through Swiss watch brands online while I lived in Denmark, Hamilton is more or less non-existent in Denmark.

"Sold by: Unclaimed Baggage Center" xD what?  Is that some kind of joke name, like when people call their wifi hotspot "FBI van 27", or is it actually selling off things people have abandoned at the airport!?

Dead serious, man. :D They sold it to me for exactly half of retail price. Also, my Wi-Fi SSID is NSA Surveillance Van. We’re always watching.

So, was it a used set?  I can't imagine many people buy new stuff and then leave it unattended to get taken by security and resold xD

It's a good deal, but Nvidia chipsets are generally bleh.

Just got my first mechanical keyboard. I love it!

http://www.amazon.com/EagleTec-KG010-Industrial-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B015MPQQ0A?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Each click is like an orgasm of the finger. For 49 dollars I think I got a really good deal. It has what I've been told are some kind of blue switches similar to Cherry MX, although I have no previous mechanical keyboard experience to base off of. It has blue back-lighting. It doesn't feel cheap at all and looks like it's made of some brushed aluminum or something and some sturdy plastic on the back. It's overall a very good utilitarian keyboard This isn't a video by me, but I did find this after the fact and this guy has two videos that do a quickly review on some of the aspects of this keyboard.

I'm really pleased with what I got and I hope to use this keyboard for a long time and I'm glad I didn't have to pay a fortune like a lot of the ones I see people using.

@ KaptajnKnass, Will see if I can find Hamiltons being sold here, haven't seen any Hamilton watch in most of the shops I go to......NOT saying I go around looking at watches, just sometimes when I'm buying other things and a shop selling watches happen to be nearby.....

Just collected my stuff, looks great but I'm now quite busy with work, so serious listening will have to be done another day....my HiFiMan HM901s + Dock 1

06_zpskcqtc9ad.jpg

At the back of the Dock 1, enough input/output options for a simple desk audio setup......

Maybe I'm lucky, or not as discerning as you (my hearing's not as good as it used to be), but the FLAC, WAV and DSD tracks  I have(amassed about 4TB of DSD64 and DSD128 tracks)  all sound great on the HEK, even on my K812 and HD800. But, the HEK being the newest, is getting most of my attention these days. This DAP by HFM is pretty damn good, dual Sabre 9018 and I'm using the Discrete amp card now, will swap to the Minibox later on.....you can actually do amp card rolling with the HM901s, but I think having two amp cards should be sufficient.......for now anyway.:P I'd actually wanted the HEX, but an opportunity presented itself for the HEK and I couldn't pass it up.....

If you have the chance, try to get hold of a Grado GS1000i, there's something special about its bass....but it isn't for everyone though, and only if you're something of a treblehead like me.:$

Bought a used Tube Amp BL2, it's a portable tube amp and I like what I see and hear. It's very powerful indeed, with my HEK, I need only set volume knob at the 8 o'clock mark and it's loud enough for me. Listening to Queen and it's a treat....

Here's a shot that shoed the orange glow from the tube through the perforated area.....I'm sticking to my vow, no more cans! Just other audio related stuff....
